Couldnt find a picture of it online

But saw a poster ad today from one of our "colleges" here in Sydney

That read "Its an incredible time to be a Clinical Nutritionist" and there is a picture of a chic holding a cake

Clinical in this sense referring to a Nutritionist involved with patients/outpatients in the health care system

What a dumbass nothing job, when would that job ever be "incredible"

Whichever kind of media, you have any ads that really annoy you?

Such terms and other annoying wording in job ads are definitely high on the list. But if i really pay attention to advertisements i don't know where to start with how often they use annoying tactics... which annoy me. So i don't pay that much attention to them generally.

I really hate adverts for baby products that start off with something like:

"From the moment your baby takes its first steps...yadayayda" basically its saying that every decision you make now will affect your kid as an adult in profound ways. There's even one where it literally shows kids playing with toys and then in the future doing different carreers and stuff, like one playing witha n abacus turns into a mathematician etc.

The unspoken implication always seems to me to be "If you don't buy our product your kid will end up burying corpses in the crawlspace under its house while wanking into the shoes of his victims AND IT'LL ALL BE YOUR FAULT."

I Just think it kinda sucks because young parents are given all this contradictory advice all the time and they're really nervous about fucking up and these adverts really play to that fear, but in a saccharine, cutesy kind of way.

EDIT: forgot to say, these ads aren't for things like toys and early learning stuff that could actually be formative, they're for stuff like formula.

Did you know "nutritionist" isn't even a protected term? anyone can call themselves a nutritionist with no training or certification. The protected term is apparently "Dietician"

Going to a nutritionist for advice about your diet is like going to the footiologist for advice about your feet.

Hence the rise of "celebrity nutritionists" who have no qualifications.

Baby products and cleaning products (incl. for your dishwasher and loundry) are so terribly boring and annoying I just zone out during them. Sometimes I am aware I can recall the irritating catchphrase but not the brand name :D Suits them right!

The old blockbuster video tv ads used to piss me off. The TV would be on quiet so it wouldn't wake anyone in the house. Then you would hear "WOW WHAT A DIFFERENCE BLOCKBUSTER VIDEO" and the shouting was right at the beginning of the commercial so you never had time to turn it down.

When Ke$ha must have been on her first European tour, every poster everywhere at any place was Ke$ha.

She's just not that great looking.
