I know exactly what you are talking about.

I used to always say to my mom, that my dreams were keeping me tired.

My mom always tells me the story that she was in a spa. Im not sure if it was a day program or longer than that, but there was this lady there and as time went by she got more and more anxious over wanting a drink. There was no alcohol allowed and she had to leave early, not only because of how she got from being unable to drink. My mom said the woman was shaky and all, but because she realized she was an alcoholic by being there and had a breakdown.

I would say right now my only addiction is the internet. I think the reason why Im online so much is because of how sedentary my life has become.

I really need to do something about it, before I go crazy.

yeah, it's like spending the entire night filing. it can get really tedious. even as you're going through the lucid part of the dreaming, you're watching all the little things you took note of during the day being put into their little cubby holes. GAH!

You're the first person that I talk to that feels like that.

I dont think people believed me when I was telling them that I was tired because of my crazy dreams. That it was like being asleep and awake at the time, because I would take into the dream, every sound and feeling from where I was sleeping, it just feels like a lot of work, very little rest.

It makes me feel less crazy :D

I was reading what psychologists say on it.
Some people say constant lucid dreaming might interfering with our "filing" process,.Others say , it would be great.

Some people remember lucids when they are "troubled".Others its a sign of the conscious and sub-con working well together.

I had a long and *very* lucid dream about people here last night...:eek:

    hmmm ADHD, OCD, Anxiety, depression...

Addictions are/were: drugs, "alcohol", music, "sex"

I don't really think I am/was addicted to alcohol... I drank a lot, but not in an addictive way, but whatever...same as sex, I suppose. Music is actually a big one for me as an obsession and to the point of an addiction at some points...

it definitely didn't interfere with the filing process. i watched the filing process. i think it mainly happens to me when i'm not sleeping deeply. i'm missing my delta wave sleep. i think this because i have most of my lucid dreams when i'm on the way to waking up. so if i'm lucid dreaming all night, i'm not sleeping right.

Lets see I am a major weed smoker. Cigarettes and coffee.

I think I have a God complex. I am an adrenalin junky and suspect I have a death wish.

And numerous other things that I will not go into detail because I do not feel the urge to expose kinds in my armor.

I think caffeine would be rather hard to quit even though I don't have an addictive personality.

    + the occasional anxiety.

I have PTSD and ADHD. I think I may also have a personality disorder from lack of ability to self-soothe.
I think CrummyRummy has ADD (which is part of the reason we're sole mates...sigh love that guy)
I def think Pressed Rat has Aspergers, which is so not a bad thing.

I used to hate it, but now that I am in control of it, it's a huge gift. I even went off my ADD meds a couple of months ago.
I manage it by working in a job that is VERY flexible, where I get to make my own hours and agenda. I do not do well in structered enviorments. A lot of people with it are the polar opposite though, they need constant structure.
A lot of it is self-control too and that just takes a lot of practice. I try to find a lot of creative outlets, a lot of things to increase my self-efficacy and self-esteem.
You gotta kinda plan your life around it. Pick a work field and hobbies that mesh well with it.
Most importantly just find everyway possible to feel good about yourself, because it's hard when you have ADD.
What have you found that works well for you?
