Tobacco and the effects of nicotine are greatly misunderstood.
Tobacco is a power plant, and should be treated as one.. yet there are so many of us in the World that smoke when they feel like it (they don't even have to feel the dreaded crave)..
The secret of tobacco is it gets stronger the less you use it.
This can work to both psychological and physical advantages, if respected.. but so many of us smoke, erm, "unconsciously" so to speak.. and grow this psychological dependency very rapidly.
It really doesn't take much to focus and train your mind instead of getting irritated and fidgetty if you don't have the opportunity to smoke.
I've beaten the physical attachments to nicotine (I feel "normal" with none in my system, but when I smoke, I make sure I get something from the tobacco to increase aspects of my persona as opposed to settling myself down into a state of normality) - it's quite a deep subject, but it is possible to reverse the role of nicotine addiction and use it for how it was used for years before the marketting potential was discovered, and it became commercialised.

Soo true i have never been addicted to it and i love smoking tabacco. I really do think i love it more because i don't get addicted. Always get one of the best kind of headrushes from it.

Yah it seems tobacco and nicotine addiction really happens when people dont smoke in moderation at all. they just think once their a "smoker" its what they do. ive gone through some major cigarette phases but its ussually in bursts like over the course of one weekend. i havent had a cig in about 3 weeks. but realisticaly ill have one again. The thing i found far more addictive was high nicotine e-cigarettes.

    previous addictions- marijuana,

marijuana was really the only thing that i sorta needed to feel normal and balanced. i still use but way les frequently so i can actually get high since my tolerance is lower and i now find other ways to keep myself less uptight and hyper.

Opiates- i definetly felt very strong cravings but i was getting high every time rather than taking them to feel normal so i wouldnt really consider it an addiction

I am most def addicted to cigarettes, bad habit esp since my grandpa died young-ish from lung cancer, my mom died at 45 from a stroke / brain damage after a intense surgery. Grandma died from lung related issues but didn't smoke, heart disease in family. Its def something I think about regularly more so now that I will be hitting 25 in two years. Smoking isn't something I'd like to do for the rest of my life, its not worth that to me, but I have ten million hobbies, I craft things constantly but I still feel a strong urge to light up, and I always end up doing it. I know the risks, know my family history etc, its just really a matter of time before I get a real control over it.
