i have not seen the movie...but i listened to the sound track and besides the "Come together" cover they are all awful. they sound like Rent or some other new bullshit musical style gang vocals and crap high school musical harmonies....
i think bono butchered i am the walrus and lucy in the sky with diamonds just my opinion because i hate U2
I like a lot of Paul McCartney's other work. Like the frog song, that I think someone has mentioned. It's a video that I've seen and its well good. have fun with it. Have Luck
I loved this movie so much, but the end was really... I dunno... Seemed kinda cheap, like they just decided "yeah, we gotta end this... dude, how do we do it? aw, fuck it, we'll just have them stand on top of buildings and stare at each other lovingly." Other than that, my favorite movie so far this year.
AHHHHHHHH! I LOVE THAT MOVIE!!! hehe. yeah i do. a lot. saw it twice in one week at the theatres, got it the second day it was out on DVD, man. got the 2-disc soundtrack for an xmas gift, listen to it constantly. one of the greatest movies EVER made, no doubt. i cried when i first saw it- waited SO LONG to see it and when i did, iwas bouncing in my seat the whole time lmao >.<
believe me,i hate u2 as well... and bono... i think he's all about thiatrics... but that's a lame reason to not like those scenes
I really hate Bono in that movie also. But think about there was no really big name actors (that I'm aware of) so in order to get people to go see it, they had to put some big name in there. But overall that movie is so amazingly well done. To the collaborative minds who made that movie, I thank thee.
Didn't even really know that was Bono (didn't read the credits), so I was indifferent... The only problem I have with U2 is that they and Sting dominate my supposedly alternative radio station, lol.
I really enjoyed it!! i always feel so good after i watch it! i saw it twice in theatres, once with my mum. surprisingly, she enjoyed it aswell. shes goes "well, i guess thats what it feels to "trip out" huh?" so that was an interesting experience. and jude is really cute.
I loved it. I don't like when people re-do Beatles music, but i think everything was great. I laughed, i cried..i simply loved the movie.
I don't know if I was just in the wrong mood, but I thought it was a steaming pile. I didn't like it at all. Contrived and embarassing. It reminded me of Grease. Like the drama club was given a grant or something. Cheese.
I loved every minute except dear prudence and mr kite. Across the Universe, Revolution, and Strawberry Fields is my favorite parts. Great movie, lots of symbolism. Acid test part was good.
I enjoyed the movie, having seen it in the theaters three times. But lately I can't come to watch it, perhaps I watched it a little bit plus having meet some of the actors, I think I'm in overkill on that movie. It's probably the best thing a non-Beatle trying to do Beatle can do.
I'm sorry, but this movie is terrible. Every young, wannabe-hippie can't get enough of it -- it's trendy in certain circles. But the movie itself is just utter crap. They wrote a bad story, full of 60s/hippie cliches, around their song selections. Without the Beatles music, the movie would have been nothing. Even with it, it wasn't much. For example, adding a character named Prudence so that they could use Dear Prudence. Nothing in the movie is meaningful in any way, because you know it was just contrived to fit the songs. It's just pretentious crap.
I thought it was corny as fuck, it fell WAY bellow my expectations. Their version of dear prudence i thought was really bad.
