Tried the water. Didn't work. Tried the St. Ives. Didn't work. Tried so many products. Didn't work. I think I'm just going to give up and just wash my face every day. Maybe if I quit trying my parents and friends will shut up about it. I don't have the energy to care anymore.
javajade, for cryin' out loud, go back and read my peroxide post. Give it one week of serious intense application. Twice a day. 40%. Really let it do the work. You must give it a chance, a freaking chance to work! It will kill the germs under your skin, intensely and for real. What part of this can't you guys out there get? Acne is filled with germs. Hydrogen Peroxide 40% is the most powerful germ killing substance out there. It is intense oxygen too. Bacteria can't live in oxygen. It does what i am saying it does. It kills off the germs under your skin and the acne goes away. I am telling you what, i would like to get some feedback post of some of you who are working with this peroxide treatment and let us know how it is killing off the germs under your skin!!!
Well, how is it going? have you tried it yet? Most all reminders of ex-zits will fade in time, like a bad boyfriend.( Unless of course, they are really deep and pervasive, like the really, really bad bf, then more drastic measures will need to be taken later.) But the main thing is just to get the skin cleared up. That is the best place to start. Simple discoloration fades with time, depending on your skin tone. It's all relative. BTW I just saw my girl molly's back and it's clear as a bell. Two weeks of peroxide use did the trick completely, and it has stayed clear all winter. Yay for hydrogen peroxide 40% !!!
Sometimes Acne is so severe that special medical treatment is required, and sometimes the causes of acne necessitate medical treatment. But you can do much yourself also. Here are listed things you can do yourself to prevent or treat acne: 1. Some advices about diet that may help prevent and cure acne: - Do not consume a great amount of fat - The fat you add to the food should be natural oils. Such as Olive oil, walnut oil, and sunflower oil. - Eat much fish, seafood and not so much meat. - Eat food with a high fiber content to regulate the digestion like vegetables and fruit. 2. Here are some things you should avoid. - Do not use greasy or heavy cosmetics that clog your skin and are difficult to wash away. - Do not wash with soap or cleaners that dry up your skin and take away all the natural oily protection in your skin. - Use clothes that allow air to reach your body surface to avoid collection of humidity and overheating of your skin. 1. Use of rinsing milk or solutions You can rinse your skin with mild products especially made to dissolve the plugs in your pores, and to make the environment in your skin unfriendly to bacteria causing infection. Some of these products are just products to wash your skin with one ore more times a day others should be on during night and flushed away in the morning. Salicylic acid is a mild ingredient often used in these products to dissolve the comedones. The products usually also contain ingredients that work antibacterial and stimulate the skin's own cleaning activities, like Tea tree oil or Echinacea extract. ok, I used to have a horrible problem with acne, like so bad it hurt. I found a cure, and you couldnt find a single zit on my face. I would use products with salicylic acid, like nutregena face wash which is actually pretty good, but most salicylic acid products would break me out worse. you should try BP products instead, the best is Natures cure, cus it comes with pills and a 5 % BP cream, works great, starts clearing up fast. also i highly recomend clearasel ultra (the one that spose to get your zits cleared up in 3 days) really does kick your acne's ass. FAST, put some on over night, wake up and your face is clearing up more and more. and to wash your face, instead of using harsh products, use cetaphil face wash. WITHOUT water, you just put it on your face and take a tissue and wipe off the access. hell, the celebs like cameron diaz specifically swear on cetaphil and I do to, its mild and doesnt irritate your skin.
You should workout, like to the point sweat is dripping down your face. And get some sunlight on your skin. Some of my friends don't put anything on their skin and have the most perfect skin you could ask for. My acne comes and goes,it usually comes when I start partying too much and being lazy.It goes away when I workout, get in the sun,and just stay active. I've also heard that smoking weed gives you acne and man boobs Is this true?
hmm...detox tea? that sounds like a good idea. i'll try that. lately i've got some acne to reckon with, i think due to stress.
i had acne once when i was like 15 yrs old or i think younger and believe it or not the only way i could fix it is with birth control pills. As weird as it sounds, they help, but you have to get a doctor to prescribe them for ya so they work propertly. the only bad thing about these pills is that they can actually make you gain weight or some other several second effects that are not very nice. Go to a doctor and get them
hmm.. what about facial steams?? sorry if this has already been said..but, fill a sink with hot hot water and add a few drops of tea tree oil, or a handful of chamomile or red clover and put a towel over your head and the sink..it really opens up the pores..what about steam saunas?? Carrots are good for skin problems..drink lots of carrot juice..that seems to help me. Basicallly any vegetable really..vitamins..!!! I personally tried the hydrogen peroxide thing..and hmm..well, I didn't dilute it, really should have..well, away from the embarrassment, I dabbed some on and it turned white..like normal, well, I rubbed some more on, thinking it would go away.it didn't..I waited for 10 minutes, rubbing it with water, it still was all white..so, self-conscious me, I rubbed it until the white went away..harsh treatment, don't do that..I rubbed too much and my skin was kinda raw, so, my skin started healing itself, a little scab formed..about the size of a nickel..it almost looked like a burn..almost done healing, doing a very nice job of it..this was about 5 days ago or so..anyway..as for me, I won't be doing that again..although, I can see keanu otter's point, because I think it did get rid of the zit..just took quite a lot of healing skin to do it..and yes, that was probably 90% my fault for rubbing so much..anyway, mostly what I got from that is letting my body heal itself without feeling too self-conscious about it is a lot more important that what I look like. anyway personally, I don't like hydrogen peroxide too much.. tea tree, lavender oil, I like the stuff that smells good..
I use to have it fairly bad (though I have seen worse). Nothing worked. I tried all the HP 10% and S. Acid and tetracycline, ect. Than, proactiv sorta did it for me, but not as well as it should have (like they brag on TV) so I stopped after many months. than a few months later started again and it didn't help at all. So I went to a generic brand of accutane about 18 months ago and stopped last winter (in dec.) and my skin has been pretty good for over a year, besides mild scars, but those seem to be fading. sometimes I get some zits, mild breakout, mostly where the scars are. 10% HP was abrasive enough but I see 40% HP as to much of a risk for 1-2 zits for skin that is sensitive. I have been told that discomfort is normal when using prescribed stuff (that wasn't even mine, my sister gave it to me saying it was her friends brother and it worked for him) but I have used stuff that was comfortable (dove daily exfoliating clenser is great) and worked. The yogi detox stuff sounds good, cos my acne is non existant (mild at worse). I mean, if you can find something to get rid of mild scars on the cheek bones a little quicker, that would be cool
well i would go for some tea tree oil...you put a tiny bit on each pimple and leave it on overnight. the pimples will be gone overnight GAURANTEED!...so go get some tea tree oil and get to clear skin sweetie
I had no skin problems until I hit 21): I got rid of all of them by drinking carrot juice everyday...both the dryness and the acne I get when my friend is ready to come visit me
take zinc pills!! i started originally to boost my immune system when i kept getting sick all the time, and had to go on a seven day school trip. but i keep taking 60mg zinc pills everyday and its helping my backne!!..slowly..but im hoping by this summer itll be almost all gone. so, thats my suggestion-zinc pills!!!!
sorry i havnt read all the previous posts...but i was recommended by some friends to try 'Tea Tree Oil'. this stuff heals all sorts of things (from acne to cuts to vaginal thrush o_o ) any1 know much about this? does it work?
