ITA on both counts. .Some southern accents just sound,...well, ..uneducated. Mine is weird.Florida is the not south-south, I don't have much of an accent(besides american) - but daddy is creole(deep southern with hints of french accent, think boomhower from King of the hill ) and mommy sounds like she is from GA and sometimes that does comes out.
Not much. Sippin on some Steel Reserve and trying to wait until midnight strikes before I begin my 4/20 celebrations, though I don't know if I can wait another hour before I spark this joint:spliff:
Yeah I do. I hate it because I have a girly voice to go along with it. Doesn't fit my personality at all.
Haha. I'm just a tiny bit sensitive. I do like my voice and accent if I need help. IT guys bend over backwards for me if I'm having trouble with my computer....or when I had trouble with my old cell. And I am never stranded...unlike Mak.
You live in New York......but you are from Brazil....or your family is? (sorry can't remember) hmmm....
YES. Born in Paris to brazilian parents, went to Brazil when I was 2. Spoke baby french. Lived in 3 different Brazilian cities --- Rio, Sao Paulo, Brasilia. Then lived in Pittsburgh for 4 years, and New York the rest of the time. I moved a lot. And to top it all off, I'm racially mixed.
Now I want to hear your accent! I'm not sure what it would sound like. Most people that move a lot adopt bits of each accent.
I've grown pretty used to the Southern accent, because I know a young woman from America. But I have to say I love Irish, Scottish, French, and Aussie. I could listen to Billy Connoly read a phone book.
Boston, Irish, French-Canadian, Russian, Jamaican, and most Southern accents. I can take or leave American and English accents though, they can be annoying. ...as well as some women with Boston accents.
i love all of them, and languages i don't understand at all even better. the less i comprehend what someone else is saying, the less paranoid i am of getting brainwashed by their saying it. i'm sure there are plenty of people who can't even imagine such a perspective insisting to themselves i'm being faciscious, but i positively guarantee i'm not, even a little bit at all. i really prefer the sounds of machinery and nature to that of the human voice. but a human voice making sounds i don't recognize and not making them at me, is at least a reasonable compromise. i like songs in nihongo and nipali, at least as long as i don't actually know enough words in either of them. =^^= .../\...
