You're right there’s a marked difference between the Maine and Boston accent. I believe it was in the state of Maine that the cry "You can't get there, from here" was first heralded Hotwater
I quite like my London accent, i have an East End twang to it, probably to do with the fact that my mums side of the family all come from the East End. Funny stuff about accents!
Mums :H Now I know you must be from England, because the only mums in the United States are chrysanthemum's. Hotwater
It is sad. my gf is french and is learning english rapidly. she wants to get rid of her french accent so she can speak english perfectly and pass as a native speaker! I tell her to keep her accent! Maybe I will start a petition all french girls required to keep french accents when speaking english, because it is just so damn hot!
i used to think i have no russian accent while speaking english but then i asked one canadian if i had one and he said "yes i can hear it, it's slight, it's ok, you'll never get rid of it" but still i was disappointed i love french accents
Strong or soft accents dont matter to me they all sound pretty cool. i love spanish accents, southern accents, scottish accents expeccially. My boss is dutch, and his accents pretty interesting too.
you shoulda heard me last night. with this chest cold/ flu, people who met me said i sounded like kathleen turner. it was AWESOME.
well, now i sound like a boy going through that akward voice change period. and if you're into that, we need to discuss where you plan on going with your life.
Accents are great. Scottish, Welsh and English accents are right near the top of my list but the winner is Irish without a doubt...The best example I can think of is Dylan Moran...mmmm.
