I'm sure Syd Barrett took hundreds of trips, even before he was famous... He was probably borned as an ordinary, mental healthy boy. I'm not moralizing. Sometimes I smoke a joint also. But all kinds of hallucinogenes must been taken with caution. It's not good to sit alone with a bong every night. And ofcourse even more caution must been taken on shrooms and lsd. Hallucinogenes are ment to be social and expressive, but too many people use them to build walls nowadays. Too many people end up as vegetables, like the poor, poor person Laks just described, because they handle drugs in a wrong way. I also smoked too much by myself last year - as an excuse for escapism - but luckily I realized that it was not a very smart idea, in time... Now I just smoke, when the occasion is good. love and understanding, wolf.
Syd Barrett actually was ALWAYS skyzophrenic (sp???).. the most dangerous thing to do when skyzo is to take psychedelic drugs.. I never smoke alone.. or take any drugs alone.. I agree with you wolf, drugs shouldn't be used as a negative escape, but more as a positive social thing.

I don't think it's ment to be drinked straight, just like it's ment to be drinked with caution. Wormwood in large amounts can turn otherwise peaceful and balanced people confused, aggresive and violent. Absinth, at least the original recipes with high concentration of wormwood, are not ment to be drinked in larger doses than 2-3 cl á time.
I'm normally a confusingly aggresive and peacefully violent person, so I'm immune to side affects And yeah the real stuff, I had a bit too much of that But I think we all had We missed a few days of class, we were there but yet we weren't Kids be carefull, it's strong stuff, hehe
