Its legal in Kentucky now.... for a low low price of $64 a bottle. I had some and it tastes like shit. You are suppose to have sugar in the drink with water.... I ended up just doing a shot and it isn't so pleasant. Tastes like licorice.... and you are suppose to see green fairies.
It may be legal but it's probably the thujone free or low-thujone shit, same as here. so pretty much not really worth it
Some of the Absinthe from Europe does have hallucinegenic properties, like renaissance artists would drink it, and see things. All the stuff you buy in the states isnt the same though, but youre supposed to pour it over a sugar cube that rests on a special spoon, and then light the cube on fire then drop it in the shot. its very over priced, and after a night of bar hoppin the only thing it will do is make you vomit.

From my experience, the real absinthe that makes you hallucinate and whatnot is illegal and the absinthe you can get from a liquor store is just strong alcohol. It's all in the mind, man.
I think it is in the mind too. I have known people who drank the real stuff and they said it did make them hallucinate... and then drank this and just got left with a nasty after taste.
