Just a wacky thing to throw in here, but most women I know do want to have children at some point in their life. Most of them are pro-choice. You're a massive idiot if you think that everyone who supports the right to choose to abort will just never have children. It makes no sense.

There are still plenty of couples wanting to have children here, and there always will be, because most people have that biological imperative to procreate. They just want to be able to wait to have a baby when they can actually afford to give it a good life, rather than be forced to bring one to term when they aren't able to look after it.

I can't for the life of me work out what you're yammering about penile tumours though.

My apologies. What I meant to say was that your implication that abortion would cause birth rate to decline to the extent that it would actually be detrimental or damaging.

The birth rate confirms what it indicates, but doesn't really support your crazy speculation. There's a declining birth rate in Japan, which is still quite socially conservative in a lot of ways, which has nothing to do with abortion and actually is to do with women just choosing not to have children, but that's not really evidenced in this country or in Canada.

I find your attitude during this debate to be needlessly confrontational, by the way. It's quite funny at times, but quite depressing at others. You strike me as a very angry person

Well, you see, this topic is like your typical Romanian, by all acounts it should be dead by now but it's still somehow finding a way to breathe.

 

if my mother didnt get an abortion with the child she was pregnate with when i was 6, she wouldnt be around anymore...fuck being against abortion, sure you may kill an intelligent kid, but you cant garantee that that kid wouldnt die anyway in a car accident or something and still not be able to contribute to the world. did you ever think of how many kids would grow up in a environment that makes them violent?
besides how would you feel about this: if you were say 16 and got pregnate, you wouldnt wanna kid, youd still be one, think about it man, theres too many situations were you wouldnt want a kid, what if your raped? of course your a guy and wouldnt understand.
in many cases the child would be better of that way, you dont for sure the well being of that kid.
abortion has been around forever(if you really did you research you would know) just because now it can be done safely and medically it becomes a crime. wtf

Actually I'm willing to bet my knowledge of history on abortion is much greater than yours, I don't complain to this extent unless I do research, and that was my original post, I'd say you should disregard it, and for one I have always been for special circumstances abortions, not on demand and deffinetly not how it is in countries such as Canada where it is unrestricted and paid for.

 

That's a logical fallacy. About the aborted child having the potential to have been a genius. Just because Event A does or does not happen after Event B it doesn't mean that Event B was the cause of Event A. You have no proof whatsoever that the mass intelligence of our society is dropping due to abortion. Nor do you seem to be looking at the whole picture. I don't know who you've been talking to, but abortion was not created to control the population, nor is it being kept around for that purpose. Abortion was created for women who needed it, because their bodies couldn't handle a child. We have expanded abortions to be available to all pregnant women because of all the unfit, uncaring parents in this world. The majority of households today are dysfunctional, and whether or not the fetuses may have been Einsteins, the earth really can't support much more, our population is growing far too rapidly. Granted, we are keeping people alive for far longer than is natural, but maybe you should focus on stopping our unnatural fear of death instead of impressing upon others your abortion views.
