Love how you "sumerized" me, but I prefer bolgna's over pepperoni! :) And what on earth made you think I wouldn't "want the kid, after I knocked them up". I would LOVE to have the kid if I got a girl pregnant. I TAKE CARE OF MY RESPONSIBILITY! Thats why Im safe about what I do.

abortion is tramatic but it is nothing compared to some of the tragedies and abuse happening these days. and with global consumption happening as quick as it is, more people coming into the world is probably bad than good...you have to look at the whole and realize that there are more children being born into the world than amount of abortions happening, per whatever time span.

Has anyone ever realized that the abortion issue would be solved if an unborn baby could be removed from the womb at ANY stage of pregnancy (even at only a month) and put in a life support device to grow right into normal infancy? This would satisfy the pro-lifers, since no baby would ever be aborted again, and would also satisfy the pro-choicers, who would still be able to choose not to have the baby, only it wouldn't be killed.

I believe we have the technology to do this NOW! Peace in this issue can be at hand TODAY if only both friggin sides could get their priorities straight!

    I REALLY dislike the term " pro-life ".

In the future it is very possible that there could exist baby factories, mass cloning, the only problem is to create an artificial environment similair to the womb, however I do believe by that time we will have efective technology that will be cheaply available, getting the tube tied is a somewhat dangerous procedure, it carries risk, if only there was something that could guarantee 100% temporary infertility.

Hmmmmm, doesn't the birth control shot do that?

You know it really does just come down to people being smart enough to actually use effective birth control, if all those women who don't want children used the pill, or the shot, with the teamwork of the condom, now there are so many people who do not do this.

Again I restate that instead of food aid to those poor 3rd World Nations there instead should be condom aid.

See, I knew that if I read this thread long enough someone would come up with a solution whilst spelling all the words correctly. If they can clone cats, dogs and sheep from single cells to birthweight, they can nurture a fetus to term in a glass beaker. Wait, they put that cloned sheep back in another sheep. So put the fetus in a sheep, whatever.

Problem solved. Well, almost. The government and the Jesus freaks will never allow that, so at least both sides of the issue can blame someone other than each other. Back to blaming Bush. Because this isn't really about the life of a fetus, it's about the subjugation of womankind.

    Much love, sister.

I think abortion is murder but it is also a woman's choice. All of the people who say it is not her choice, you NEVER know if you are4 in the situation, although I'd feel obligated to raise my child.

I just read a lot and have a great memory. And no I'm not gay but it sounds like you would have a problem with me if I were. Which certifies my opinion of you.

    Abortion.

ok. my opinion is this. in the wild, a wolf with have its cubs. if she knows there is a harsh winter coming and her babies will not survive, she and the pack will eat them. with abortion, if you know that the child will be horriblely disfigured, mental disabled, and will live a horrid life, why would you want to put something (or someone) through that kind of suffering? i know it sounds mean but if they will have a life of hospitals and medicine and won't be able to live life, what is the point of bringing them into the world?

with prosititues and teenagers i don't know. adoption can go both ways. some people who get adopted turn out great but others are beaten and abused. i don't know what i'd do. i think i would have the baby, but i'm not gonna stand around abortion clincs and protest.

I humbly suggest -mandatory- abortions. For everyone. For the next fifty years or so.

It would solve vast quantities of this planet's problems.

Grim, I've been saying that for years. When I hike through your valley next year I'd be honored to buy you a Yuengling.

I have no right to say what someone else can/cannot do to their own body, just like they have no right to say what I can/cannot do with mine.

Still, it is a hard subject to relate to. When my former girlfriend and I had our firstborn I would've been between a rock and a hard place of she wanted an abortion, because I wanted that child. Luckily so did she, so now we are sharing custody and have the most fantastic son togeather. Never regreted it for a second, even though we were both young and not done with our educations. Sure, it's a bit harder but it is worth it.

But I am ranting along here, what I am trying to say is that it is not solely the womans desicion, nor the mans. Impregnation is something that occurs when two people join in a blissfull union, and so the desicion should be discussed between them. Still, I'd prefer adoption over abortion...

But tell me, can a sperm grow up to write a song? Or love another sperm? Or write a book? An embryo may not have these capabilities, but the point is that they eventually can. Sperm never can.

All we are saying is give life a chance.

And what about war? Can it not be argued that war has always kept the population in check? Does that therefore make war a non-issue as well?
