For rapists, stop taking my posts out of context, or are you one of those Ultra Liberals that believes convicted rapists and murderers deserve equal rights as law abiding citizens and should have their sentences cut in half for " good behaviour "?

Here's a reality check buddy, my opinion does count, perhaps more than yours, and in 10 years or so, who knows, maybe my single opinion will be worth more than millions, you can go ahead and say I'm delusional, but guesse what, I'm well in place for my BA in University, I have my own apartment, my own car, I know people that maybe one day you'll be lucky to polish shoes for.

I agree they should have some rights, but not equal ones.
It's not their vagina, but it would be a part of their life.
They shouldn't be able to argue with a girl who doesn't want to keep her baby.
But they should have a say if they want an abortion because if they do from the second they hear of the pregnancy...then they shouldn't have to pay child support.
And then at least the woman knows how its all going to be from the very beginning. Though in the ideal world, people would talk about all this stuff before they end up in bed together...

I agree with Zoomie. It is just a nowhere thread that ends up in arguments which are irrelevant to the original topic. I am sure we have all made our opinions clear by now (those who have posted in this thread), so it makes sense to just let it go at that.

Back on topic, I do believe I urged posters on this thread to start talking on my " when should abortion be okay " thread but nobody seemed to care and kept on going about their opinions as fact.

I'm just as tired of this 600+ page debate as you people.

 

Whatever has happened in a persons life, they are still human, no matter what they have done, or been convicted of, or suffered at the hands of others. Perhaps you should remember that there is a thin line dividing your present comfortable way of life and the life that you might have in a prison cell. It does not take much to make any one of us a murderer or at least to have committed manslaughter through negligence or a moment of irrationality. You would do well to consider that you yourself might one day be only guilty of a moment of indecision that comes between being an upright citizen, and being classed as a disgrace.

 

The act of molesting a child is something that takes a hell of a lot more than a moment of irationality.

Rape in a drunken state of mind can be argued to not be as horrible of a crime, and I've stated that if it were up to me manslaughter would not be a crime, however 1st degree murder ( vigilante killings I condone ) for pure selfish purposes is inexcusable, there are also mass murderers, I never said let's round up all the rapists and people who have killed others and torture them until they die, I never stated that that was my intention if I was ever in a position to make a decision like that.

I hope in a nation where every crime is considered individually, that there should be exceptions for crimes such as certain murders ( such as vigilante killings where the vigilante was indeed beneficial in his decision like killing a mass rapist).

I'll give you an example, an individual like Gacy, now that son of a bitch in my opinion should have gotten his testicals, penis and limbs slowly torn from his body until he bled to death.

Call me a sadist if you like but in a country where abortion is without limits, covered by the health care system and where euthanasia is illegal, hypocrisy reigns supreme.

Unless it's a choice between mother living or baby living (and sometimes if you try to have both, they both die)... Though religious people will be against killing the child even if it kills the mother too. >_<
I'd rather have the mother live...they have a life already, friends, family, responsibilities...

Abortion is such a silly topic; it shouldn't even be debated. Of course it should be legal. The child isn't even alive--you're not "killing" anything. If anything, it's much, much worse to bring a child into this world without giving him or her love than it is to have an abortion.

 

There are soo many posts that I would love to reply to in this thread, but I think that would take my whole damn night.


There are 2 ways of having a baby. 1. Because you had sex with someone. 2. Because you were an unfortunate victim of rape. If a women falls into the #2 catagory, I hope she would really lean into putting the baby up for an adoption. There are too many women out there who cannot have kids and would love to raise someone else's baby. NOW, if you fall into the #1 catagory and choose to have an abortion, I truly hope YOU go to hell for murdering an unborn baby who YOU chose NOT to give a chance in this world because of your selfishness. If you choose to have sex (especially unprotected), you should realize the possibility of having a baby.

Im not perfect, and I sure as hell sin like a motherfucker. But I would NEVER kill an unborn baby. That is just not humane. I think way too many women use abortion as a form of contraceptive. And those who do it like that, I hope you realize how you KILLED an unborn baby.

Yeah, adoption is such an easy option and so right for a young girl...of course it wouldn't hurt her education, health, and financial situation...
I def think a guy understands the whole situation of getting pregnant...since he has to deal with it so much during his lifetime.

It's so easy to make rules when they don't include you.
It's never something that will come up in your life so it makes sense that you should be able to tell us what's right or wrong.

Not all babies are meant to be born.
Some people are meant to be infertile because it keeps the population down. Artificial insemination is like abortion...they're both unnatural but they balance each other out.
