I'm sorry but did you just tell me what I have to do?

A sperm alone does not have the possibility of becoming an infant, a sperm is nothing without the egg.

I'm majoring in Poli Sci, not english, god knows how much I have relied on spellcheck all my life.

That's not a rule, that's an opinion, you can have it.

If you look a bit back I said a High School diploma is like a milestone, I'm past that, University and College is a different thing, you don't need to be a College or Uni grad to be smart, I know plenty of guys who can do a top notch on your car and they never went to College or Uni, they learned it outside of school, but they have a High School diploma.

I think if you're still in High School and don't have a High School diploma, and are not even old enough to vote, I'm sorry, but you just have to wait your turn.

What are you trying to say then? People who are still in high school, even those who are only one year away from having the ability to vote, have opinions that do not count? I think that this is what's wrong with a lot of people on these forums. They are angry about the kids who aren't interested in politics and important issues, but they make the kids who are involved feel as though they are too young to matter.

It shouldn't be " No Vagina, No Opinion "

It should be " Can't Vote, Can't Have An Impact "

Don't worry, once you turn 18, you will be given all the respect you deserve.
I remember when I was 17, it sucked, you were undermined by a lot of people, it changes once you're 18 and are legally responsible for basically everything.

i think it should always be considered a last resource, but i also think the thing that is wrong is to deny anyone facing an unchosen pregnancy the option of doing so.

it's not like when girls masterbate, our eggs are escaping you know.
oh well, now, why don't we just get rid of all of our goddamn eggs?!
then we wouldn't have this fucking problem.

    jesus, get a fucking grip.
birth control, in any form or method...
    is population control.

and you don't get an opinion, neither you nor your third leg.

Well, I am sorry, but I feel that young women should have a say in this. Afterall, they are usually the people who face this issue. I hear much more about teenage girls getting abortions than I do women in their 20's or 30's. I am not at all saying that teenagers are the only people who have abortions, but I am saying that it is common for people in that age range. I am sure you would understand why I am saying this if you were a young woman, or a woman at all, for that matter.

I'll be 18 in less than half a year...a few months is not that big of a difference...

I may not be able to vote just yet, but it really makes no difference in how I feel about this subject...or how responsible I am...

No, but I did give you some good advice... :chill:

Sperm still have a "LIFE span" ....http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sperm
So just because they don't have a home yet, doesn't mean they aren't potential infants...

What does voting have to do with anything when I am of age to ovulate and can have an abortion... this isn't a thread only for "guys who are old enough to vote yet will never get prego"

We're so proud you passed high school like every other yuppie,
now do us a favor and get over yourself. :)

Voting dosen't mean anything in the United States. I can't remember our last democratically elected president. (Maybe, aa umm, Madison, Monroe?). You must go by different rules in Canada. Turning 18 means little more than turning youself over to coercion on an institutionalized scale which must be succumbed to prevent more violent methods from being employed: assult, death, imprisonment, transportation, scapegoat, and general misery.

Buddy, I think you need a lesson in American history. Votes don't count. We at least know that here... some of us.

I think it is a womans choice and everyone who is against it should just back off because that is probably the reason so many kids go neglected and sometimes killed by their mothers because society sees it as wrong to have an abortion so they have the kid sometimes way too young and can't support it or get frustrated by it.Some 19 yr old bitch just killed 2 of her babies here one in december and one in febuary and hide their bodies under the house she was living in,she was just caught friday, before that she beat up her kids she had at the age of 13,those got taken away a while back.I think its people like this who should be forced to get a abortion.

unwanted babies are still unwanted when they are born...

Forcing ppl to be mothers is just wrong.

I'm glad women have the option to not have the kid when they know they can't handle it. And we really don't need more kids up for adoption...

and foster care isn't getting any better
from a few places that i have heard of
they don't want to take care of unwanted babies either
so, abortion is a nice option for that
i mean, if you WANT a baby, then abortion is definately not an option for you.
but if you are not ready to be a mother
then do what you have to do:
first prevent it as well as you can
with condoms, birth control, spermicides, the morning after pill
knowing when and how often your body ovulates helps a bunch too :)
and if that fails, and you are not ready, then abortion is your next option.
either that or pray for a miscarriage or become an unwanted mother!
that is just the way that i see it.

I agree. I have said this before, but I will say it again: I know a girl who went through foster homes, and I also know a guy who was going to be aborted, but his grandmother talked his mother out of it. His mother never cared for him and was quite blunt in telling him that she never wanted him in the first place. Both of these people that I know have not had decent lives at all, and they have told me a lot of stories that would make a person think twice about abortion. I am not trying to say that adoption is terrible, but I am saying that it does not always work out. There are many people that go through what the two people that I know went through. There are too many unwanted children in the world, why would anyone want to add more? If a mother has made the decision that she is not fit, for whatever the reason may be, to raise a child, her mind is most likely not going to change once the child is born.
