Abortion

Nope I haven't read it. Read 50+ pages about what basically amounts to opinion? No way. I've made up my mind, I'm pro-choice, and that's the end of that. Changing somebody else's mind on this subject is hard, and ultimately, boring. I have other shit to do.

 

I somewhat agree with this it is hard to change someones mind on the subject and that is why it is such a big subject. Once someone has their opinion set that seems to be it for them. Even when i showed a friend the pics of babies that survived abortions and were maimed basically because of it his opinion was "yeah you gotta do it before then so they don't end up like that" SOMETIMES It seems to lie in how much maternal instinct a person has on rather they would choose to kill their baby or not. I mean yeah legally it is a persons choice but somewhere in here someone said that it is a womans duty to have kids....I agree with that 100%. But it is a mans job to work to support the woman as long as he is able bodied. And sometimes the man doesnt do that and puts the woman in a perdictmnet where she feels she has no other choice. I mean who is going to support her while she is pregnant for 9 months waiting to have the child to adopt it out. You have to be a strong person to do that. on the other hand it takes a whole another kind of person to live with them selves after they have killed a child. Some woman use it as birth control. and you have women who once they are pregnant if they really don't want the child they don't take care of them selves while they are pregnant and the baby ends up with birth defects anyways. There are circumstances where babies being born addicted to crack would be better off with god. and there are circumstances where babies being born with other problems would be better off and so as much as i want to say i am against abortion i can say that having the option for certain times may actually be best. lets say that there was an extensive interview in which a woman had to meet certain requirments in order to abort the child and if she did not meet those requirments then she had to adopt the child out. but then again I had a friend who was told her child would be born with birth defects if she kept it and they gave her the choice of abortion but the test was wrong and the child was fine and still is.
... where i live we have houses where these moms can go to live and be taken care of while they are pregnant and she can decide while she is there if she wants help getting on here feet to keep the child or if she wants to adopt the child out. Either way this helps make the life of the mom and baby better. But if more women decided to go that route then we would need alot more of these houses. i think if we had more of these houses then it would save alot of babies. we also have a place where you can go and take parenting classes and in return for you taking the classes each week with a counseler you get fake money and then you turn that in to buy from there baby store. you can get free diapers formula one brand new crib baby clothes and anything you need for your baby. so around here it is easier for a single mom to choose life. but how many places have all these programs for women? What really erks me about some people is that they will stand in front of a kfc and protest the rights of a chicken and yet never once speak up for the right of a little cute baby.

 

How much less than 1000.00 does an abortion cost last i was told when my sons dad offered to pay for me to have one it was over 500.00 so that will cost her what 500.00 to save a life. oh how much is a life worth excatly??? ANd come on low income people dont always pay there bills let it go on there credit report and it will be off in 7 years. a medical bill on a credit report is nothing even drs have them.
Also there are people that will pay for all a womans health care etc just to be able to adopt the child..there are ads in the paper here every week of people askign to adopt a child. .medicaid will not pay for an abortion in michigan!!!I dont know about anywhere else but here they wont.

 

I think that the only good cases for abortion is when there's incest, or rape. Perhaps if it's a minor, but I'm not sure on the specifics, so perhaps I take the middle ground. I wouldn't let a female I 'knocked up' get an abortion, or I'd leave her, so that is whast led me to believe that I mostly side with the prolife crowd, yet, I don't have the urge for incest, so I can't really put myself in that situation. There's plenty of people that would adopt the baby, so why kill it? You chose to spread your legs, so it's your own fault. Never thought you'd see an Agnostic /// say that, eh? I don't really care what people I didn't impregnate do, I can only tell on how I'd feel in my own situation.

 

"White" babies are perfect? Your words, not mine. I think each abortion case should be taken on a case by case basis, there is no black & white on the issue. I'll take the Libertarian route. If you can pay your own way, you can have the abortion. If not, then don't expect the government to pay.

 

simple, heres what needs to happen, first abortion is free. the second one is 1500 and the third one, you get your tubes tied. if you wanted kids in the first place, you might try and be a little more responsible next time. condoms are free, or at most a dollar. not that hard to aquire a whole pocketfull for free. collage, health departments. you all know whats up.

i dont have enough faith in society at this point to let them do anything on their own. the system has treated them like dogs, slaves. the freedom would blow their minds.

Before Roe vs Wade in 1973 abortion was legal but it was only performed if the mother's life was endangered. Nowadays it's abortion on demand for any reason. That's 47 million abortions since 1973. This is what the controversy is about.

I don't see how anyone could like the idea of abortion. So many people out there protesting agaisnt cruelty to animals, yet some people can allow this shit? It boggles my mind. Sure, some people cannot afford to raise a child and such, but there is the option of adoption. And the whole thing with it not being considered a human until it has a beating heart is a bunch of shit. Either way you look at it, it's preventing a baby from being born, that in my mind is considered killing an innocent human being. I don't see how anyone can look at an infant and think the idea of abortion is ok. Fuck that.
