Before the cival war they used the same arguement. I'm against slavery, but who am I to tell another man what he should do with his slaves.
No woman or man should be able to have the right to murder. And if America had a moral people, abortion would not be legal. The fact that Abortion is legal is a true sign, that as a nation America lost it's moral compass long ago.

 

And yet you believe it does the world good to have doctors tearing off the heads of children. This is just an example of how sick this world has become. When the strong make themselves into Gods and dictate who should live or die.
Having the right to murder does not do anyone anygood. It just devalues human life. And there are countless couples who would love to have a child and can't . Yet the sick one's of this world believe these children are better of tossed into dumpsters.

That's because our moral compass was tied into a bunch of BS religon. In this day and age, most rational people have decided not to believe in all that religous crap. So you can take that moral compass and stick it...

 

Ok, so as a male we will not have to go through that, and some how you believe this gives you the right to take a child and rip it apart and toss it into a dumpster.

I was born in the 1950s and when a mothers life was in danger the prenancy was ended, and we did not have to pass a law to accomplish that. That line was what they used to get that sick law passed. Now 95% of abortions are nothing more than birth control. America and the world has become such a sick society, that people cannot see that what they are doing is evil. I have studied the prophecies of the Bible for years now, and it's sad that Americas don't even know what is going to happen to them because of this kind of evil. The Jews are not back in Israel by accident. God has a plan. And the evil of this world will not be prepared when the Light of God shines down us.

 

Well if you ever picked up a Bible you might learn a thing or two. The Bible tells us that just before Christ returns to this world, the Jews would return to the land of Israel, they would retake Jerusalem by force, and they would be surrounded by enemies. It also tells us that at this time The East Gate in Jerusalem would remained sealed, and all attempts to open it would fail. (they have) The Bible tells us that when God returns He would be the only one who would enter that Gate. The Bible also tells us that America would be destroyed by northern nations, and all of her cities would burn and her end would come in one hours time. There is really a lot more in that Book, but then it would require one first to read it. And it's much easier for one to say its all crap, then it would be to actually consider it.

 

No one has a perfect life, and murder is not a solution it's a crime. And your only making it easier for someone someday to tap you on the shoulder and say "your not wanted anymore either." Hitlers death camps had small beginnings to.

I voted that it should be a womans choice. I personally don't like the idea of abortion under most circumstances. That is my moral conviction. BUT I feel it is only the womans place to decide her own health issues, it is not up to me, or anyone else, to force my/their opinion, moral or religious values on anyone else.

Do you know what the useless book is? It's basically a fucking journal written by HUMANS. It is their beliefs, their thoughts, their feelings.... Did you personally know these people? Do you know how reliable their words are? Do you know whether or not these things actually happened or if they were simply fables, stories, to teach a lesson that they believed in? (because, that's really what it boils down to) Do you know whether half of that crap in there was simply lost in translation? I mean, c'mon. The so-called "bible" is an interpretation of the "original", and it was written by humans...HUMANS.

God (if he/she/it even EXISTS) did not pick up the pen, or stone, or whatever the hell to write those "scriptures" him/her/itself.

If you want to go off a silly game of "telephone" to define the rules of your life, be my fucking guest, but don't expect everyone else to rely on something so shaky.

And if you do, by the way, I can get a group of people with a high vocabularies, and magnificent imaginations to write something similar... would you live by that if I did? Would ya?

POINT BEING: DON'T throw religion into the mix. Not everyone believes what you do. And better believe it, that, WHOA, what you believe.... um..it might not even be RIGHT.

the fact remains...we cannot make people think alike. we cannot make people believe in the same things. we cannot FORCE these things to happen. Until you walk a mile in someones shoes, you CANNOT pass jugement....even then, we are not here to judge. So all you bible-beaters(I am a christian, by the way and Pro-Choice), you need to look back in the Bible and read all those parts (especially ones written by Peter and Paul) and touch up on the verses that states that God is the only judge, and our purpose here on earth is to love one another.....REGARDLESS

I was raised catholic; and because of this, I have a hard time understanding the "bible-beaters" that are especially strict and pushy over their beliefs, as my family and church were never this way....

I don't consider myself catholic anymore, but I do give props to those that are, and can keep it real, like you. The point of christianity, as I learned it growing up, was to love your neighbor for who they were, not what they were, and yes, to never pass judgement. Which is why I cannot understand the way some people tend to use their religion as an excuse to discriminate, or pass legal judgement.

For example, with gay marriage issues going on right now.... I know all too many so-called, self proclaimed christians, that have decided that it's not right, and that it can't be legal, because it isn't in the "eyes of the church"; but to me, doing this is going against the purpose of their religion. All that kind of thing is doing, is teaching bigotry. And I'm sure that's not at all what a potential god, would want.

If you want to throw someone out of the church for being gay, or having an abortion...or whatever... that's the church's decision, that's the church's private affair; but don't put that kind of burden on the rest of the world, you know?

I also, want to say that if "god has a plan" such as campbell or whatever his name was said... why are their women getting abortions in the first place, if it's all part of "his plan"??

If there were a plan, and abortion wasn't part of it, wouldn't it NOT exist in the first place? I never understood that whole plan theory...there are so many holes in it.

Not to mention, do you really think "god" would look down on a 13 year old, raped by a family member, for getting abortion? I mean, do you actually believe that a little girl like that, who has already went through enough pain... do you really think that was part of some grand plan? Do you really think "god" would want to see such a young, lost girl go through even more struggle and heartache of having to carry a baby that might be a product of incest at such a young age, and have to miss out on school, and ultimately suffer from twice as many problems because of that?

And I don't want to hear that excuse that abortion is now used as "birth control" because there are more rape victims out there than you even know, I'm sure. Problem is... too many women won't speak up about it.

You don't know what those women's story is; you don't know what abortion is being use for... and it is not anyone's business but her own.

Currently, the US constitution and the supreme court recognize the rights of the unborn at 20 or 21 weeks. Now the abortion decision ( Roe vs Wade) is based on the 14th amendment right to privacy. No citizen shall be deprived of life , liberty and the pursuit of happiness without due process. The court felt the government should not make laws interfering with the right of it's citizens privacy concerning sex, abortion etc. Sadly the court in it's decision deprived the rights of the unborn to life in the first 21 weeks of life. But this view may change.

It's obvious, I think that once the egg is fertilized you have human life!
Pro choice is oppresive of human rights!
