The fact that there are fossils at all disproves creationism.

No PMS, I'm much nicer on my period. And I didn't view it as another topic for I was still talking about Evolution. Our buddies Campbell and JDFU hadn't made anything for me to yell at so I just introduced myself by my view. I'm curious how they'll handle a Christian Evolutionist. Specially since when I start arguing with them they wouldn't have read my post at the beginning.

Phantom I'm sorry if I was a bit of an ass when I ties you in. Just from the placement of your post I figured you were being like the other two. And they weren't, in my mind, reading into what I was saying properally.

JDFU... the 80% probably still are Christians. You don't have to take the bible word for word true to be so. Plus if you remember NT cancels OT. Do you have solid proof that God's days (NOT FROM THE BIBLE!) were exactly 1000 years? Mayber they were 1,000,000. But that's not the point.

Evolution does exist. You can see it everywhere. Just look at a coackroach and you'll see the epiphany of evolution. We evolved, not from apes (which I know most creationist believe... have enough friends who are) but from a common ancestor. Who had a common ancestor with the ancestor of cats, then dogs, horses, rabbits, fish, earthworms (yes we are no better than a lowly worm), flukes, ect ect. Point in fake.

Look at the similarities in the genetic codes and you'll actually realize that we arenn't bullshitting you then. So go find a human genome, a cat genome, an ape genome, a fish, a frog, a snake, and a worm genome. Look at them. Find the similarities and differences and then try to explain them.

But don't argue without having looked at them. Trust me, I'll know.

Just read my point JDFU... I am a christian. So this shouldn't be a problem with me arguing about Evolution to Creationism right?

Campbell... all you have shown are what Hollywood is known for. Let's say my handprints go down there onday right next to someone like Clark Gable... I must have been alive when he was. The form of earth changes as time goes by. So what might have been covered (aka the dino print) could have been uncovered right before the human steped right over it. Ever think of that?

Part two. We haven't shown you what YOU consider to be trans-species. Will you give me your, not anyone elses, description of what constitutes a trans-species. Then give me time and I will find it. Biologist Major here. And I know Archeologist Majors too.

Finally, could Darwin see in the past? Did he know how many animals were in the right conditions to be fossilized? Can he see into the future? Did he know that while some fossils might not have been discovered yet they'd be able to be discovered as technology improved?

What will probably arise from Campbell... the fossils were made during the flood. Aka 4000 years ago. But if they were smart then the Creationist would even know what they feel is the age of the Earth is screwed up. Eh, what can you do.

I've tried to get that out of him a couple times. Hasn't worked.
    Sweet! Me three!

And just to clarify for Campbell. Again. Fossils can't form in 4000 or 6000 years. It doesn't work like that.

    Whose number two?

And do you really think he's going to listen to that? Honestly?

I dunno. Some other bio major.

And probably not, but at least it'll remind him of how silly his argument is.

Only if you're one of the few who are so brick-headed so as to not understand the meaning of the words "metaphor" and "allegory".

Someday, in the future, people like you will take the parables of Jesus literally, and be just as confused.

the major problem is we judge time using a 12 month as a year how ever earth time table is much bigger we consider 10 million years a lot but on earth real watch is only a few seconds ,fossils and all kinds of stuff gets lots or degrades into dust. we also use light years but really we have no clue how far a distance galaxie really is we cant not conprehend those huge distances our close planets are easy they are simply close enough to bounce radio signal and calculate the distance but is useless in deep space.

Spliff can you tell me what those comments actually have to do with either Evolution or Creationism?

"See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy." Colossians 2:8
how do you know you are not already captive to a deceptive philosophy?

It's not that Christians are opposed to science its just that any time scientists embraces a theory without facts science itself becomes opposed to science

Have you been reading this thread at all? There are plenty of facts. You dismissing them or not even acknowledging them indicates just how right Colours is about deceptive philosophy.

The bible came through men. God didn't write it.

Ah but they feel that the men who wrote it were simply dictating God's words... Newflash, they could have messed up.
