Yes I’ve kind of stated the obvious that it IS a pretty permanent decision. Has anyone had any regrets? We’re 95% sure we don’t want more children but there’s a part of me that’s still hanging on to the notion just a little bit.

Yeah I think you can. Do both procedures take a toll on the man though ?

You have to let them know you wish to have a reversible outcome. Otherwise they snip out more than needed and seal off both ends. If you want it reversible, they terminate the ends differently. And you spend $$$$$$ getting it reversed.

And no I thank whatever God I believe in when I thank GOD for my vasectomy. ZERO regrets. 20 years post V day.

Zero regrets as well. Over 30 years ago. Best decision I ever made for me and her.

Yep sex life took off like a rocket after. Once a potential partner hears you can't get them pregnant (and yes some wanted to see proof of such), they are like hold on you just a free pass to the Cedar Point Roller Coaster ride. For awhile i began to get concerned I would need some heart care assistance. (kidding....sort of).

Once a man has decided he no longer wants to father children a vasectomy is the best birth control method available. I had mine over 35 years ago and really don't remember the whole thing. Most insurance covers some or all of the costs of the procedure. I relay to my partner that I am unable to make babies showing the scar and letting her feel the clamps. (You can feel them by lightly inspecting my scrotum) Knowing this puts her at ease and she is more relaxed knowing pregnancy is a non issue. A vasectomy will not prevent the spread of STD's though. Be aware of that if you have multiple partners.

True I didn’t even think of that. And thanks for input. No negative side effects to the multiple procedures?

Sometimes scar tissue alone can make it non reversible.. something you dont always get told about..
If you have the very slightest doubt, you should NOT go ahead with this.. lots of other things out there to use for a short term... you need to both be 100%
Write a list of the reasons to have and a list not to have another child...
If there is even 1 reason in that first list... your not 100%..

Got one years ago and went straight back to work after it was done.
No regrets apart from thinking I should have had it done a lot earlier.

Best thing I ever did! Doc said skip the frozen peas and put cold beers on your balls/ and blowjobs for 3 months until sperm is all gone.
