i was gonna say...send me some of that kentucky weed brother lol......let us know what happens next time...are you on anything else ie pills like paxl or zoloft or any of those
No, I am not taking any medications. Maybe an underlying mental illness?Something like this did happen the first time I got high, but it wasn't the first time I smoked. I saw less intense cev's then, and was in a much less harsh mind set during the thc's effects. I'm going to take some time to recover mentally and physically before I smoke again. An update might be a little while, because Im going on an overseas vacation in a week.
Cannabis has psychoactive and physiological effects when consumed. The minimum amount of THC required to have a perceptible psychoactive effect is about 10 micrograms per kilogram of body weight. Aside from a subjective change in perception and, most notably, mood, the most common short-term physical and neurological effects include increased heart rate, lowered blood pressure, impairment of short-term and working memory, psychomotor coordination, and concentration. Long-term effects are less clear. I have had this exact desciption of a cannabis trip although it was only acheived thro smoking a highly concentrated cannabinoid mixture. and I must say I was very unsettled from the unexpected and very hardcore dissorientation caused by the considerable "impairment of short-term and working memory, psychomotor coordination, and concentration. " I ended up in a public bathroom stall for several hours luckly noone discovered me in that state. I cant say i remeber any visuals but other than the the extreme dissorientaion i dont remeber much of the experience anyway its a trip you must be in familiar and safe surroundings for you to truelly enjoy
I deeply agree on having a familiar setting. Thank god I had my iPod charged and sublime set to play, that really saved me. I couldn't have done a thing if an emergency had come up.
dont get me wrong the experience was unpleasent at the time but I have had more enjoyable ones since I really think it was brought on by the fact that i cheifed a fat bowl in about 5 minutes where as the proceeding instances I slowly over the course of 2-2.5 hours smoked a normal sized bowl
Eat a gram or two of hash, you'll have a strong psychedelic experience:sunny: It is very much like dreaming with your eyes open, or at least the boundary between dream state and normal becomes very vague. I watched entire dramas play out before my half open eyes against a blank wall after eating 1.5 grams of Nepalese finger hash and smoking a little opium. Never got anything close to that with eyes open from smoking though. High doses of THC can make you hallucinate, but it really is like lucid dreaming more than what is commonly associated with psychedelic; patterns, tracers, etc.
Shit, I've gotten like that from one bong hit and I couldn't even bring myself to hit it again. Then again, I can fuckin RIP a bong. lol
Weed is a psychoactive, it produces mind altering effects, it may not be as active as lsd or psilocybin, but it is still giving you in a sense a mild trip. I remember when I first started smoking I got really vivid closed eyed fractals. I would a like a 3D geometrics that would form pattern, then that pattern would multiply and form a pattern, then that pattern would multiply. I remember a single octagonal shape transforming into a whole coliseum made up of millions of octagons. If you have been smoking for years the profoundness of your experience is going to be far less then someone who smokes once a month.
.in yer dreams...no way that happened on weed alone...altered weed maybe...but not good ole fashioned weed....100 posters can back that up with their own cock and bull visions on weed story but it is your active imaginations and lucid dreaming or Entoptic phenomenon and nothing could convince me otherwise...i'm too old and too experienced to listen to any more wishful thinking from junior smokers that think they are hallucinating
I remember one time after my cousin and I smoked a bowl of some fuckin amazing weed and, when I closed my eyes, all I saw was an old lady crying or screaming or something. I saw her very clearly. She didn't appear to be angry or scared; just very sad. It was strange. After that same bowl, I remember lying down on the bathroom floor and zoning out for what seemed like a few hours.
i totally agree with you on that.. if its actually happening, i'm convinced its some other phenomenon.. not related to the weed weed only gets so good, and it certainly doesnt get so strong it can cause full blown hallucinations akin to those of more intense psychedelics ..not by smoking it anyways. however, doing something like eating a very large amount of hash would probably be another story entirely..
Different people are effected by different drugs differently. (boy what a sentence ) Aldous Huxley whom we all know used mescaline and LSD, even asking for LSD on his deathbed. By his own accounts those drugs never effected him with stunning visual effects or really any visual effects. But then Albert Hoffman's first planned trip on 250ugs produced profound and exotic hallucinations according to his accounts. I used to get OEV's to a minor degree the first few years I smoked weed, often a grid like overlay in the sky, and even now if I have smoked a lot or all day, I am treated to some rather intricate "internal theater" behind closed eyes. As I said earlier, pot visuals are different than LSD visuals and more akin to a lucid dream. Eating moderate-large doses is almost sure fire for some awesome internal drama, if you are prone to that type of thing. Rollingalong, have you experimented with any major psychedelics and if so how were they visually for you? You may be like Huxley and have minimal visual effects from substances. Oh and I have been using pot for 38 years, so no youngster or junior smoker here.:afro:
For the entoptic phenomenon theorists, since when did the cells and all what not in my eye start to look like Mario cartoon characters?
Holy shit!!! Deja vu. I've never experienced the Mario shit, but I remember seeing this post, somewhere.
Are you serious? It really happens. Certain parts of the brain become more active which can result in inner and outer visualizations. It is not really hallucinating, and its not as vivid as dreaming is, its not just a thought either, its actually images produced by your brain. Its usually kaleidoscopic patterns or faces, things that are embedded into our brains. Have you ever tripped before? Its like what you see when you trip, just a toned down version of it. I can even tell you what it looks like. The closed eyed visuals are set on top of the usually black background behind your eyelids. The colors are usually vibrant neon colors. A lot of vibrant green and purples, dark blues, sometimes gold and red. Usually grid like, similar to old video games, not really like full detail images (although some people have reported full blown serene images). Don't you remember being a noob? The weed I had wasn't laced or anything, it was just regular ass mid-grade. When I was a noob I would be so utterly high things would be vibrating, morphing, shadows would dance, and I would always get a grid pattern on top of everything. Take a break from weed for a few weeks, then come back and smoke a couple fat bong packs of kush, then close your eyes, sit back in your recliner, and just watch what appears in the center of your vision behind your eyelids.
Shit that was exactly what it was like, perfect description! By the way, I checked my pipe, which in my frightened state I hadn't emptied out, and I apparently cleared the whole bowl, which i don't remember doing, so no 1.5 hits, just a whole bowl of nice dankness and being a lightweight.
Same thing happened to me a few months ago. I was looking at a wall and I swear I was seeing flying triangles when I closed my eyes. I had to lay down and turn the music off because it was too intense.
