something most if not all, oxygen breathing life forms on planet earth, and that happens to include humans, would not exist without.
Yeah this did actually end my love of trees for a while. There was a huge oak tree by my house, by my bedroom to be exact. It was old and grew into two different sections but both sections were so thick it basically had two trunks. The section leaning away from the house fell randomly one clear warm night, taking out a power line on the way down. My evil and extremely cheap landlord didn't cut the other half, the half leaning precariously over my bedroom, for another 6 months. I can't help but view all the other beautiful old oak trees around my house as agents of death now.
I had a dead tree fall in my back yard. It was one of the scariest things I've ever seen / experienced. My kids and I were outside, less than 20 feet from where the tree fell. Very scary.
One day after a storm the guy who lived across the hall from me said a tree fell on my car. I expected to go out to see a worthless hunk of scrapmetal. I was relieved that it was just a giant branch that landed on the trunk. Had to get it popped back out because there was a big hole that the rain would get in. But luckily it didnt hurt anything important and didnt cost to much to fix.
Had to get a huge tree that was leaning over the big shed here cut down last autumn, or a big wind would have taken the tree and shed down with it, so it is a constant look out here for any trees that look like a threat, and they can be scary in a huge storm the way they shake rattle and roll. It is massive and still laying on the ground near the shed in cut up pieces.
This somewhat local story in Ohio made me angry. How could these kids think this was funny? (I chose this link because it had the most pictures.) Six high school seniors chopped down 23 trees as a prank. http://www.nydailynews.com/news/cri...-chop-23-trees-senior-prank-article-1.1785362

Now That Their Names Have Been Made Public They Will Never Get Employment In That County, Basically, They Have Screwed Their Future... Cheers Glen.
