You're right. Trees. Like, Tree of Knowledge and the Tree of Healing. Interesting stuff .. for another thread and another day maybe.
so thinking about fruits and vegetables now has me thinking. fruits hold the seeds so that a new tree can be born. but plants and trees with no fruit...aka having no seeds (that i can see or know of at least) so anyway how do they reproduce? this should be easy to look up but i am enjoying thinking about it before i do...where are the carrot and celery seeds hidden on the respective plants? (and cabbage and brussel sprouts and seedless watermelon.)i was thinking of all vegetables but the two i named were just examples.
wood. that is alive. it is where the oxygen in the air we breathe comes from. it turns what we exhale into what we need to inhale. it is the reciprocal of ourselves in that manor. it isn't going to hug you back. but it does make your existence possible. it is also an endless variety of fascinating shapes. and home to quite an interesting variety of other life forms. most of which have a similar relationship to it as ourselves.
i tried to work in a happy tree to the post but lets face it he could paint a happy tree or a sad one, he just preferred the happy ones.
A tree is created everytime you order chinese for you and two other people and you all want the same thing
A tree is a very restful companion. That sounds like a recipe for a bad sunburn. I hope I remember to bring my SPF 50.
also if there are no shadows, how will we see anything. we'll just keep bumping into them and each other all the time. also yes, i like the idea of a restful companion, more then most humans or dogs. even the cats get a bit rowdy at times.
"Trees think, they reason, feel, plan, worry, and remember. They do this at a much slower pace than we. Of course they live much longer Trees think, so always remember this........ A tree will remember all that we do for it, much longer than we remember it's beauty."
