Your point was that you feel there is total equality between a humans and an animals life, and used the statement I previously quoted as an illustration of the same.
But you then say you would have to of course save Stan, but why, you already stated repeatedly that a human's life was of no more value than an animals.
so are we to infer that Stans life is more important than an animals, or that his life is more important than DT's?
Or is it more true that the value of a life is dictated by your own personal emotional feelings relative to that individual life rather than some overarching moralistic perspective that you tend to espouse here.

guess you stand on no higher moralistic ground or vantage point than any of the rest of us horrible humans, maybe even lower if you are willing to allow another fellow member of the human species die in order to save a member of another species...

how many hours a month do you do volunteer work at a shelter or similar establishment?

 

It is trying to change cultural customs, economics and traditions that have existed for eons.
The impetus to have a large number of children in some cultures who subsist on an agricultural economy is because the larger the family, the larger the workforce and insurance for your old age, plus the fact that the infant mortality rates can be very high. You have 10 kids in the hopes that 4 of them survive to adulthood.

That is one of the main projects of the Gates Foundation in trying to provide vaccinations to the children and reducing the infant/child mortality rates as it would naturally begin to yield lower overall population numbers and growth within a few generations.


Also lets not forget that a large number of woman in some those regions are not willing partners in their getting pregnant.

Another good popcorn ingredient is salt and vinegar chips. Crunch them up into small pieces. Pour on top.

Also apple cider vinegar, get a butter brush or your fingers work too and splash vinegar on top, stir and keep doing it. Maybe a table spoon. Mmm

 

I love popcorn; I demolish bags of that stuff. I find all of these funky flavors, but basic white cheddar is great, as is salt and pepper, ooooh, and salt & vinegar. I also get truffle salt or buffalo sometimes. Mmmmm.
