I thought about posting it in a couple of different places but I guess random thoughts is fine. This is a story of how one single moment or sentence can make a huge difference in your life or someone else's life. I'm sorry it's so long but I hope it's worth reading. Here is a pic of my girl. She's almost out of my league. :afro: If you want to see my own mug you can check my profile pics. I don't know how to post those.
That's an awesome story so sweet. I totally think that's how it should be! A good friendship first. I like how you didn't say anything about how you felt for so long. It seems like a lot of people move soooooo fast these days. Can I ask how old you were when you met?
We were 20 when we met. We are both 38 now. We were out tonight and talking to friends and when we got home she told me (while I was typing that story) that another married couple who we are friends with said that they know lot's of people but don't hang out with many all the time. She told them that we are the same way. We know lots of people but mostly she just wants to hang out with me. That made me feel pretty good.
There Are Times When BBAD Just Can't Help Himself, This Folks, Is A Classic Example Of One Of Those Times...:2thumbsup: Cheers Glen.
Wow. That's amazing wiz. That gives me hope. 6 years from now would be a great time for me to "settle down". P.S. I don't think you can really tell how old she is based on the picture/lighting but you can tell she has a great smile and looks happy.
She told me it was a "washed out" pic...whatever that means but it was just easiest to use a pic that she posted on her FB page. She's still stunning to me....even after all these years. :sunny:
That is an awesome story. Thanks for sharing it. The best relationships are built on strong friendships.
Washed Out means there's too much light meaning it is overexposed and the image is difficult to see. Possibly a good thihng for a FB photo. Looks nice and happy and not even 38. I'd take one of those.
Ah...yes. That makes sense. I'll probably delete the pic later though. I was just posting it temporarily. But I like the pic because it shows how she is most of the time. Genuinely happy. And she has eyes that captured me a long time ago. I notice them every single day.
Thank you for sharing this with us as it was really nice to sign on and read this thread. Best wishes to you and your lady.
Thanks! And thanks! I really am a lucky dude. I was actually thinking about this story today and I think those years of friendship made all the difference in the world. She could have had the rich guy (or probably any guy she wanted) but she chose the guy who she knew behind the scenes...for lack of a better term. She knew what I really thought about things, how I tried so hard to keep my first marriage together, etc. She knew exactly what she was getting..for better or for worse. I did too. :sunny:
