Mounted mega-heavy seat pan on the Deere, the old 1/4 inch thick well pit cover... Painted it Yellow, of course. (first coat, oil based paint) I'm gonna mount an old Craftsman tool box behind the seat pad... Gonna be Green, of course. Hey, it's a Deere... I don't get to choose the colors... although it would look bitchin painted' black like the rest of the herd.


Still need to make wheel weights if I can't score a set of iron ones, but this seat is adding much needed weight at the back of the tractor... It actually looks pretty cool too. I might mount a vice to it also... Yeah it's that big. (25" X 28")


Gotta find a green seat cushion...

I don't know. 18 pints of the good stuff is a lot. The record at my local brewery (lot's of high ABV brews) is 12 and some heavy hitters go there.

Funny story...I'm a regular there and a while back I heard the record was 12 and who it was that holds the record. I was like "Hmmm...I bet I could make it to 12 on a good night...I wonder what my personal best is here..." My buddy is my usual bartender and he said "Your personal best is 10 so you're right up there. You don't remember that?" I said "Umm...no." He said "I bet you don't!"

He said I might have made it to 12 but he was worried about me walking home without getting busted to he told me to hit the road. I bet that fucker who holds the record started with lighter beers. To be sure, I usually only have 2 there, sometimes 3, rarely 4 or more and I only have more than 2 if I'm walking.

That would help. My brother-in-law is much bigger than I am and I've seen him easily drink 30+ Busch beers in one night. It's like water for him. We used to make it a friendly competition but I'm usually drinking higher ABV beers and weigh at least 100 lbs less than him so he didn't think it was a fair competition. I love that guy though...like he's my own brother. Always a good time when he visits.

 

going to meet buddy to show the atv....he is coming from out of town so I know he is serious....he is bringing a trailer........

thing is loud though and I have it stored in town

ive been surprised though by some people show up in stupid little car and i think "these people are not serious buyers"...and then they buy shit without arguing about prices and call up a buddy with a truck to come get it

Motivated buyers! Did they try to talk you down on the price?

I hate it when people try to do that but they do. I usually just tell people to tell me the price they want and I'll take it or I won't but I'm not interested in negotiating. Every once in a while I get one of those customers who will try to make a lower offer, no matter what my price is. I find it highly irritating and I almost automatically don't give a shit it I get their work or not. I prefer not to. It's like...if I say $xxxx amount and they offer $300 less...I may say....I won't do it for that but here's the number for someone who might...have a nice day. Not just like that but that's my mentality about it. That's my mentality about selling things too. If you want to offer half of what it's worth, I'd rather just give it away to someone who needs it than sell it to some cheapskate who I know damn well has the money to pay what it's worth.

I stopped buying saws from a local dealer years ago because he charged more than anyone else but always expected tree work for dirt cheap....as if he was doing me some favor by giving us the work. Fuck you, man. Call someone else for your trees and I'll go somewhere else for my saws.

 

he called and asked if I would take less and I said he needed to come show me the money before haggling......he paid the 2 large...I had 2400 in the ad

it had no reverse....no key.....the exhaust pipe was seized onto the head.....very bald tires....would not idle so you had to ride the chioke....carbs needed work.....1 headlight was out...brake light was always on...ithad a few issues
