you seem to have hate in your heart but why dont you have the balls to rant and hate on islam?? who treat women like shit? mostly likely you don't have the webos.

and christianity isnt pagan now roman catholic church does accept alot of thing of paganism back in the day when they where making deals with Constantine on what will be a more acceptable religion for it s roman people to follow.

Now you probably enjoyed the first part of zeitgeist and comforts your hate but you like every other person in America who's brainwashed and doesnt brother doing reseach on what they see and just accept it you'll see that zeitgeist is garbage except for the other two parts in it about the NWO. In the first part of zeitgeist it says that Osiris was a past copy of Jesus and that zeitgeist shows it viewers examples of them both but when you do research its seem to debunk its self.

oh well i will be praying for you and that your questions are answered.

It's the ideals that were "borrowed" from paganism...which also probably wasn't original.
I don't hate as much as it seems, but from my experience people wholeheartedly believing in religion try to push their ideals constantly on those that don't want to hear it.
If they could hold their ideals to themselves while not interfering with others happiness I wouldn't hate them so much.

People don't get this. I don't get why people don't get this, but they don't.

    No worries.

Erm, that could mean they work and are not just houssewives.
You would need a lot of male interpretation there.

Yes, it is inaccurate to assume that's the sole point of his post. Your interpretation might be better if you read it the whole way through and attempt to understand his argument before attempting to act as its foil

The Bible says that God hates homosexual acts, as the OP quoted in his post. Being that the ultimate goal of any Christian should be to follow God's will and behavior, it's no surprise that such an excerpt from the Bible would lead Christians to despise homosexuals as well. Also, the idea of the post deals more with ongoing, present actions of homosexuality and how they are/should be viewed by Christians, not with the forgiving nature of God, a compassion well beyond several of his followers, it would seem, by their disposition against them.

OP offered reasons for why 'God hates homosexual acts', you should dispute them or be more specific if you would like.

Yeah pretty true, although if you thought you definitely knew the way you'd certainly try to have others 'see the light', not to mention the doctrine of several religions include converting others. In that post you were fighting against what you thought was untrue, is that so different from pushing what you think is a true perspective? I mean, no, you aren't going around to peoples doors with pamphlets and all that garbage, but on a different level?

No reason to over analyze meanings of some book that went through a 2000 year chinese jigsaw puzzle of translations editions and deletions. Christianity has done WAY more hurt than good, dont beleive me? Open a history book. There are so many holes and completely ridiculous contradictions and paradoxes in the whole thing its not even funny.
Whenever i hear someone debating religion (any religion) I remind them that right now were floating on a dust covered magma ball flying around a huge nuclear fireball inside a giant vacume in a galaxy consisting of billions of stars, while there are over 100 billion galaxies, and you honestly beleive this crap? And people perceive this situation as normal? Our species may just be too young to get an in depth accurate grasp on what god really is.

Sometimes i want to just post in every other forum and say go check out the psychedelic forum but hey what are you gonna do...

If you would try reading more carefully, you would notice I said: This seems to be the whole point of your long post and it is inaccurate. The phrase; “seems to be” means that I’m not assuming anything but asking the OP if this is correct or not and he could correct me if he wishes. Then I went on to state why I thought such a statement was inaccurate, whether it is or isn’t the whole point of his post.

Good advice, perhaps you should try it sometime.

I consider myself a Christian and I do not hate homosexuals and so, it is surprising to me that Christians hate homosexuals.

My statement was a direct response to what the OP said:
If you’ll notice the OP says: “that God outright hates (it) without a reason”. To which I responded:
    ----------------------------

This whole thing is addresses a quote by Smitty25, not by me.
Next time you might want to give credit were credit is due.

lol and I was addressing your hypothetical response to what "seems to be" ("seems to be" by your interpretation of his post). If you were asking the OP anything it'd probably be in the form of a question, regardless, if that's what seems to be the point of the post then you missed the content and reasoning behind the post. It doesn't help that you don't address the views or arguement in the OP if you're trying to make any argument to the contrary. If you feel offended that I accuse you of not reading his whole post, then how about this:
    o rly? Continue reading.

What he used was a quote from a biblical passage:Leviticus 18, 19-23, and it follows..
in which it is stated simply that "God hates that" without a reason, unlike a couple other restrictions of the religion provided in that very passage.

Why not address this part of my post if you have a minute?:
Or, you know, the idea of where ritual beliefs come from which makes up a massive part of the OP?

    and
Did the part of the post in quotes have your name in it? No? Yeah, sorry, I don't copy the full quote from the top of the text box every time I quote, I use quote wraps to avoid double posting when I find other posts to respond to.

Disagree. The Jews did very well in Egypt for 430 years. Their population went from a few hundred to 600,000. Moses grew up Egyptian, his father in law was a priest(Midian) and the religion in Egypt during the time became monotheistic(Atenism). Even the word Amen can be traced to Egypt. The Egpytian book of the dead shares many similarities with the Bible as well including laws very similar to the 10 commandments and judgement of sins after death. Also, Egyptian priests regarded homosexual acts as a sin similar to adultery.

But it wouldn't have to be.
That is always possible and again that's the reason I said seems to be rather than it is.
I didn’t want to, I just wanted to address his statement: “If you trully believe in the bible then YOU BETTER HATE GAYS because it is the only sexual practice that God outright hates without a reason.”
I don’t feel offended in the least, false accusations have never bothered me, I just consider the source but does that mean I can ignore the rest of this post?
The actual quote is: “As for hating the people who engage in such acts, the Bible says nothing about hating them.” and nothing that you say in your post addresses that.

Yes, earlier in his post he used Leviticus 18, 19-23 but nothing in his statement; “If you trully believe in the bible then YOU BETTER HATE GAYS because it is the only sexual practice that God outright hates without a reason.” refers back to that scripture, no quotation marks and no direct word for word phrases even without quotation marks and that was the statement I was addressing.

I’m not sure what part of your post you are referring to.

As for where ritual beliefs come from, if they are in the Bible and the Bible says that God authorized them then they come from God.

I was just saying the way you posted it made it look like something I said and not Smitty25.

Now that we are under the new covenant, we are not under the penalty of the law. We are now given the opportunity to receive salvation as a free gift (Ephesians 2:8-9). Through the life-giving Holy Spirit who lives in all believers (Romans 8:9-11), we can now share in the inheritance of Christ and enjoy a permanent, unbroken relationship with God. Hebrews 9:15 declares, “For this reason Christ is the mediator of a new covenant, that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance—now that He has died as a ransom to set them free from the sins committed under the first covenant.”

i always figured the idea behind the restriction at the time was that homosexuals tempt men away from their marriages, and God wanted his chosen people to be fruitful and multiply. same reason men aren't supposed to masturbate or divorce their wives. same reason women are supposed to submit to their husbands. seems to be all about growing and strengthening/stabilizing the population.
