Well, I dunno Spooner, I've dated some 18 yr old girls and they were virgins, I could have taken them at any time and they wanted me to, but I followed my heart and my conscience and felt that that experience should be with someone in their age group. Do I regret it? Yes sometimes, those girls ended up hating me for it. They felt I was misleading them so whose to say? They're of legal age so I ask myself why not go for it? Bustramp
Spooner is not a dick. That pattern is quite common and it's usually explained away with a shrug, like, "guys are jerks" or something. Well, the reason why "guys are jerks" is because women are socialized to not let a guy breathe once they get into a relationship. And beforehand they'll show no interest whatsoever... It's like they have to be "tricked" into bed. Were there less stigma placed on women who take initiative in showing interest, and were women less emotionally dependent on men, guys wouldn't be forced to bait and dump ad infinitum.
It's so cute when people take virginity to be a prize taken away from women. What a Christian notion! We're all Christians, I guess, even if we swear to hate religion and have never set foot in a church. I had sex with someone who had never had sex before (I am deliberately avoiding the word "virgin" to stay away from superstitious connotations), and SHE asked me that we not be commited. It's about time women stop treating themselves and victims! Even if they are virgins! Do virgins enjoy sex? So what is exactly so impossible about HER taking the initiative to dump spooner and taste more of what's out there???
Still with Melissa, but its kind of a mixed bag. She doesn't like going out on weekend, and I pretty go out thursday friday saturday and usually once in the week, barring any major assignments due. She's also pressuring me pretty hard to go to church with her (I did once), but really, faith is something I can't understand belief in. Its pretty busy right now - paper season at school, finals coming up, then winter break apart, then january, which, with september, is the party season of the student. She is one of the nicest people I have ever met though, and likes a lot of the same things I do that don't involve drinking/partying, like hunting, running, hockey, etc. Dunno if thats enough to go on. Because realistically, I don't think I'm going to quit drinking within the next couple of years. I'm young. It was hard enough for me to quit the yey.
she likes to hunt? hahaaaaa I am sorry...that's a little weird though- you gotta agree. I think you have grounds to not see her any longer. Presuring you to go to church and change your religion (your disbelief is just as important as her belief) is not cool at all. I don't know you're so young and she sounds so matronly. Unless she is completley gorgeous I would say it doesn't sound too fun.
you're 21, IN MY OPINION, it's okay to be unsure. test the waters, i think everyone does that. maybe you're changing your preferences.
