not old news, just that most news sources are left supporting in my opinion, but maybe they simply aren’t paying attention to trumps twitter page on this one?

It will get some media its a pinned tweet by some bigger player on twitter. I imagine Tucker Carlson will sip on it. With the where's the outrage.

We are grateful for concerned citizens who reached out to us within the last 24 hours about the YouTube video posting. Please know the issue is in the hands of The Westland Police Department and although this youth is not a current member at our gym, we will assist the authorities fully in their investigation. Know that we neither teach nor condone any type of criminal behavior at Norwayne Boxing Gym Youth Development Program. Rather, we use the discipline of athletics, education, community service and leadership to teach and promote citizenship among at-risk youth in our community.
We take any infractions of our principles seriously.

 

Sadly those at-risk youth programs have their share of failures.

Many of the kids go on to become successful members of the community, others well, unfortunately they end up on death row

 

NOT A cURRENT MEMBERI I am sure they don’t teach this kind of behaviour, or it is a part of their teachings. But he was, and how long ago was this membership removed. I was reading their philosophy and what not! About the trainers, etc... they wouldn’t be assisting police if they didn’t know him.

i believe this gym is free too.

 

He needs to end up in the big house. I'm sure he'll get his just dues somehow...

 

Tomorrow we shall see how the left and right news sources tell this or if there are crickets.

 

The media is headed for the memorial day weekend in the United States.. I doubt this story will even be touched.
I work in a building that hosts am radio shows and between now and Monday everything will be pre-program satellite and reruns..
And maybe some wrap ups for the week tomorrow..
Mainstream media will probably be just like..

In addition to charging that 20 year old thug with assault and battery on a person over 70,
they should also charge him for not wearing a mask and social distancing.

And he was not wearing his mask either. No gloves as well. I read he was 17? I guess I wonder what 17 year olds are doing being health care workers? In my opinion, few 17 year olds are qualified to be this.

 

The police said they have a 20 year old man in custody, I'm sure they have the right guy.

 

Now that Trump has tweeted about this. It's only a matter of time before the media starts defending this douche, and somebody opens up a Go Fund Me for the defense of the attacker.

What happened to that old man is horrible, and that mad dog that beat him up should be out down.

But it’s a local news story, not national.

 

Well, at least the info was public already.
I still advise against sharing it (online or otherwise) though.
There are just too many ways it can go terribly wrong.

And no, I didn't notice anything in the video because I decided not to watch it.
I understand what happened and I don't need to fold that video/audio into my brain.
Specifically because I imagined it would be as heartbreaking as you're mentioning.
