I want stock. Explain to me how it works. As if you could in a nice little post, haha.

 

mellon bank handles all my stock. In order to get started you must first own stock, or once you do, you may purchase as little as you would like. 1 share ect..
but to start you must spend about $400.00, once you do that, you can buy as little as you like. or sell all that you have or roll over profits to buy new stock automatically.

 

Do you pay the bank for the services? What about 'stock brokers'? When do you get money? Does it like go into your bank account, but if the stock crashes and dies you lose all your money?

When do you get money? you dont if you want more stock. you can sell it and get it back..
Simple your stock you bought at $10.00 a share went up .45cent on each stock you gained 45cent. you can cash out or buy new stock..
If they crash to 00.00 your fucked!!
Thats about all I know. Its better to have a bank handle it if you know nothing..
My stock was bought at less than 2 dollars a share, the cost of a light bulb..
I think its up today.. I dont really care to be honest. $400.00 isnt alot of money to lose.

 

So, what, you just keep your shares until you feel the market is high ands you cash out? Then you can take profit and buy more shares, and repeat? (I'm not planning on doing it myself, but I find this to be interesting)

 

I wouldnt be buying stock in General motors though

 

Stocks are listed in several ways. For example there is prefered stock, common stock and a couple more. I don't profess to know it all. Anyway, some stocks pay out dividends while others do not. However, you will need to have a lot of stock to make that worth your while. Anyone can own stock, it's a really really good time to buy stock and hold on to it. If you can afford it buy, buy, buy. Just keep in mind that you will need to hold on to it for a few years to see any real proceeds from any sales of stock. It's not easy but you can make really good money that way.
