A great barefoot place...The Oregon Sand Dunes

    Looks like a super cool place to hang out but sand is too easy.

    Looks nice. I have access to a somewhat similar place with a nice ground water pond. Pleasant sand floor, but I can only go there during the summer, in the winter the trails leading there are packed with snow.

    Great Sand Dunes National Monument in south Colorado is like that, a great place to barefoot. Sunny sky + air temp around 60 degrees made the sand a perfect temperature the time I went there.

    Yes, been there many times. Spring is best; the river is flowing and the sand isn't too hot. What I like about Oregon is you can tromp around all day and not see anybody.
