A glass of water wastes a lot of water..

I was just thinking of the amount of water that goes out. Most of that shit just goes straight in the toilet when you piss. Who else agrees they are wasting too much water?

From memory I think its around double the volume in crude oil it takes to produce and transport a bottle of water

 

There has been some research to this and it turned out that for one glass of water there is about 30 liter water wasted in production etc.

its not really wasted. it just gets treated, discharged back into the river, and then someone downstream gets to drink it all over again.

i have to disagree with this one. keeping hydrated is important in the summer and good any time. now the GLASS is a waste. i keep bottles (from zero fruit juce or generic sodas without the food coloring) i refill so there's always some near me, down by my feet.

i'll drink milk and or coffee once or twice a day. coffee usually only every other day. and usually put chocklet in both. but for all the time when i don't get up from the computer to make something, i need the water, even if i do cycle much of it back out later.

carbonated and alcohaulic beverages are the real waste of otherwise perfectly good water.
