Actually that is not weed.

That is one reason I took the photo.

I do not remember the name of it but it is a green here that the locals cook and eat. I will go bother an employee in the morning and get the name.

I thought that too.

It is cheaper for me to buy weed than it is to grow it here.

That plant looks like some type of ficus. Nice pix, by the way. Any recommendations of exotic edible fruit/plants that would survive in a sub-tropical climate.

 

I have garden envy.

 

Thanks for the explanation Unknown American. That definitely sounds like it'd be a pretty great line of work. Though I imagine there are definitely some downsides. Danger for one. And it's got to be pretty humid down there, isn't it?

 

Darn! I have a picture of some weed that grows by my parents' porch. And it's not marijuana weed, it's just...this weed that has a vine and grows leaves that look just like fat pot leaves. It's beautiful. Haha.

 

Hahaha We have something like that at momma's house. we were sitting on the porch, and momma looks at us, and asks if we were stupid enough to try to grow pot in her yard.
Hahaha she stalked over there and smelled it, and saw no buds or anything. she took a leaf and took 30 min to convince her it wasnt pot. lol

 

That'd be pretty hilarious. I love how you say "She stalked over there". Made me laugh
