That is debatable and yes I know, my point was America does everything in it is power to lower the credibility of the UN.
The US will never take direct action agianst NK without China giving its total blessing. NK is like a cousin to China, one that China does not like but its family non the less. If the US takes direct action against NK without Chinas approval you can be sure that China would burn us so fast and with Russian assistance as that has alwasy been the trump card (China attacks Russia we assist China, if China attacks the US Russia assists China). It has already been said last year when the issue first really took hard light about NK and its nuke plans that we are to let China deal with them. China has already slapped NK with a family note of watch your step or we will slap the shit out of ya. I totally agree the US does not need to be the world police or the worlds welfare system. We should have stayed neutral all along and let the UK be taken by the Germans, let France stayed occupied, let Italy and Poland and the Netherlands and ect all stay under German rule all the while beefing up our defense incase Germany attacked us. When Russia built the wall and wanted the Germans within to die off we should have never performed the greatest air drop ever known to world history to keep them alive. We should have a zero tolerance policy for crimes against US citizens. If a group from your country attacks Americans then they should be given a time line to capture or allow us to capture the parties involved, if they do not cooperate then they should be considered an accessory and open for attack. If we do attack it is not for re-constrution but rather ownership. Since the only thing the US has ever done was create fear around the world and never assisted others when they feared others, this would have fixed it all.
Who is the only country that every used nuclear power? Shouldn't that country be more watched than a country that never used nukes yet?
It is unfortunate that those words are so misused that we have difficulty using them in useful ways. What I mean is: Good = Helping other beings or self Bad = Harming other beings or self Peace, Ryvr
My political opinions are personal result of my consideration of material. You just spout off things you read on infowars. The US has made many political and military mistakes. US policy in the Middleeast has no relevance on how we should deal with North Korea, a country run by a violent dictator testing weapons with the intent of provocation. Your inability to seperate diplomatic ties and inane conspiracies is a threat to any sort of rational response to a dangerous political entity.
Military action can never make anything better, only worse. Even if it appears to make something better or safer in a short-term, more pain will be caused eventually. PEACE PEACE PEACE War is NOT the solution! And... oh boy am I nervous if we have the war drums beating on a hippy forum. Peace, Ryvr
Sometimes by harming others you can help them and by helping them you can harm them. That goes for the self as well. You are not competent to play judge in my humble opinion. Who knows anything about life anyway?
Hmmm ... that seems to be some form of nihilism, which I respect if it is your belief, but I have trouble seeing how we can make the world better thinking like that. So many people are suffering, and if we cannot try to identify better things vs. worse things, suffering will continue and increase.
If we start to label eachother I will label you as a Buddhist annex Hindu. At least you should know what suffering is then.
My whole point in bringing this up was not because the US should bomb NK. Hardly. I just think that this is ten-times more serious than Iraq. These issues were popping up at the same time that Bush was putting his war paint on. Kim rattles his sabers in the hopes that we will pay attention to him. I just think that this was a more pressing issue to deal with at the time than Iraq. And now we are seeing what's happening due to our neglect.
Damn right that country did and it put a swift end to a war too. Power flexed and created an end to a war. We are watched as are others. Lets face facts, our biggest problem was sticking our noses into others battles and those who attacked us we are far to light on. Our policy on the middle east is stupid, we should not be there its not our job to protect any of them and all it gets us is more trouble and back stabbing. Hell look at France, we saved thier asses in a war and when they were going belly up. What did it get us?
Japan and South Korea both want our help to find a diplomatic solution, as does China. I don't see why any discussion of North Koreas nuclear stance has to be a soundboard for vauge complaints aimed at US foreign policy. The US is a superpower, and we should use that power to quell agressive regimes from aquring more nuclear weapons, to secure ourselves and protect our allies. Total isolation from world politics is very dangerous and unrealistic for a major trading power in the region. Anyone who suggests that North Korea just wants respect and love from the US is naive at best. Their a militant unpredictable regime that is hostile to the US developing long range weapons that can carry nuclear warheads, and some of you use this as a springboard for any greivance you may have with nuclear policy over the past 200 yeats.
Peace, peace! I meant no offense, nor to label "you." I said that the words appeared to mean something like a form of nihilism. And yeah, I'm a Buddhist. I am sure that you are a wonderful person. Let's love and not fight. Peace, Ryvr
It is all good, I was not even close to fighting. Just arguing, and if you look closer at my words you see Buddism-related words as well.
Not bickering, just should have let you all stayed on your asses and fall into total ruin and stay that way. What have you done to repay us for your lives? Nothing exactly just a band of takers.
