For some reason I misread this as "I own a copy of myself."

I read the book before I saw the movie. It's one of the very rare cases where I actually found the movie better. Kubrick films are hard to beat, and this remains on my list of top 10 favorite movies of all time. The only thing that I wish was different, was the end. It would have been nice to have the 21st chapter included in the movie, it would make a much more positive end... not that Kubrick was going for a happy ending. :p

Have never read the book but the movie was awesome. I have copies of the film and the soundtrack. The music behind it is awesome. :D

I saw the movie recently and decided I HAD to buy the book also. I also bought the book Requiem for a Dream was based on (of the same title) so I've been busy with that one. After I'm done with that, on to the Orange!

    Love Kubrick Movies.
Read 'Easy Riders, Raging Bulls.' Tells you a lot about directors, the influence that they had at the time, and really amusing too. Awesome read.

Dig the scenescapes Kubrick lays out in this one, largely abstract, definitely appeals to ones creative sense.

It reminds me a bit of THX-1138 - which was less abstract, more sterile - but gave me the same general sense. This is the only thing I like about this movie.

(And that Kubrick put his own name on it.)

I just saw it for the first time about two months ago, still horribly disturbed. I guess that's a mark of how great a filmmaker stanley kubrick is.

the movie is based on the american version of the book, which has a different ending which sorta changes the point of the story in my opinion. still good though.

While this is true, Kubrick changed most all of the subtext that's throughout the whole novel. It's not a straight adaptation in any sense, really. Which is why I respect that Kubrick put his name on it =)

Just finished the book. It was amazing.

soooo much better than the movie. Looking back, the only thing I really like about the movie is the actor that played alex. I think he did a great job.

It was really shitty to leave out the last chapter, as well as the made up vocabulary and slang of alex.
