I have never found a DUI checkpoint. Now that I say something I will but so far I have been lucky. Not that I drink and drive, but with new laws here you can be too stoned to drive when you last smoked days ago. There is not a good system for it. But we know stoned drivers are good drivers anyway.

And if I was not answering my texts for hours with my gf I better have a good reason. Like a coma, she would kill me for making her worry.

you do a circle in the backyard around the junk and its pretty well done..takes 2 minutes

 

mine tales minimum 2 hours to get just the big part done and then I have some spots I cant get the tractor into so I use the push mower.. ......fried up some schnitzel tonite.....it was ok..i'd love to get my hands on an authentic german recipe for schnitzel///.....anyone have one?

i understand the feeling. save money now, so you can buy your bit of forest outright. that is one of our goals, like a forest hermit compound.
the thing is, you have to have the money first, and then seek the property. otherwise its hust wishful thinking. i had found 2 acres in the mountains here, they wanted $90K. if we had had some of the money saved we might have done it.

oh yeah, look into earthbags. might work better/ easier than logs.

 

I got 6.6 acres wooded... already had the house. Foreclosure

 

Took most of the day to mow the yard though...

 

Mountain life is good. The only noise I hear is when my neighbors shoot guns or ride their ATVs. Other then that just nature. I suppose we are even because they enjoy my music at full volume.

 

theres a lot i miss about the mountains. if the 6.6 is hard to mow, i would replace some with gardens and walkways, and do a permaculture forest in other areas. areas that still would be lawn i would plant with chamomile, or just wildflowers.

 

well instead of going to a concert alone i went for a ride down some bush roads i havent been in for 18 years

found a nice spot with lots of blueberries...and took some picture of a heron

My yard is much smaller than the full 6.6 acres... most of this property is wooded with old growth trees. Oak mostly, lots of evergreens too.

 

Maples are pretty in the fall .....

 

just enough to have a small snack

i couldnt stay long ....couldnt find the bug spray i usually keep in the truck
