edit - and what really pisses me off... a while ago i was telling her how broke i was, because i just got into the accident which fucked me over big time, and then like 2 weeks later i get that ticket... (which neither are payed off yet because i still cant afford it)... Yet... She still doesn't offer to pay for anything, after i just tell her how much money i don't have...

I can't tell if she's just stupid or a... erm.. I can't finish that in case she ever accidently reads this

ive told you about that before ortus- you will NEVER learn how to manage your own finances if you are busy begrudging someone else theirs. shes not going to piss away her savings on your shitty decisions, not when you have shown you will pay for everything. and you like to buy the stuff you want as soon as theres money in your pocket.

Why would the whole "guy pays" thing change once you have been going out a while? I bet if anything she really expects it now.

Be careful with the car shopping. Remember they need to sell you the car allot more then you need to buy that specific one. Have a poker face and never let on how much you like the car. I found it helps if I bring my girlfiend and have her make comments about it. Something like "it's not the color I was thinking of" or "it's a little small". They already expect the girl to be picky and know nothing. The second they know you really want the car you are screwed. If all else fails walk away, they will either give you the deal you want or you leave without over paying. It is win win for you.

 

I decided to name my new baby chicks lavern and shirley.

when i have rabbits they will be named Frye, Stew, Braise... basically dinner 1, dinner 2...

i really want to get some chickens too, but i didnt get in to make a fuss at city hall. i will, probably over the winter. its just not enough people know enough about it, the general public doesnt know they would be ok living near chickens. im glad my neighbors have brains. i hope that even if i cant get the authorities to permit it for everyone, but i should be able to get a special variance.

I just had a 5 hour long chat with a childhood friend. Yes, there were times I thought my ear was going to fall off and several times I thought I was going to cry from frustration. However, I endured this because I will be working some for her and her husband in a cafe they have beside their house, starting Sat.

They are open 10am - 7pm. It's not even 2 miles from here...walking distance if I were to feel super and special.

Just so y'all will know how damn desperate I am for work, I will get paid $20 (TWENTY) per day - plus tips. lol yeah...what am I gonna do with all that money?!

It's a LOT more than I'm making now, which is $0.

 

My mother was cut to one day this week and her department only has a 3 hour shift and a 5 hour shift she was on the 3 hour shift this time so she got 3 hours for the week. No tips.

 

Hell yeah. Was playing some Dead all day in honor.

Good luck. Sometimes working with a friend can be more trouble then it is worth. They say you should not mix business and pleasure.

 

on today's to do list: dishes. folding laundry.

i know better than to add too much to my list, lol. but feel free to harass me about what ive managed to get done. ive been washing blankets, and my washer is not pleased. it tends to unbalance whenever bulky stuff is washed. but i love my washing machine, its quirky because its small, but if i could ever get fully caught up then i could do just 1 tiny load a day. we will get there. hubby and i have been talking finances. we will get it figured out.

 

lol...you are sooo right. I was thinking as I was "enduring" that phone call that I was going to have to watch my face when I worked with her if her chatter was incessant. I have this problem that I have to seriously work on having a poker face...my face is super easy to read. My best bet is always to just (consciously) keep a pleasant smile going.

Supposedly she rarely goes over or works there...its mostly her husband (whom I don't know) and whoever works for/with him.

But we all know how things have been is not always how they continue.

 

I can fly through dishes......buddy staying with me is the best house guest ......he's done my dishes 4 times this week.....cooked dinner once


best thing is he is on the doob an hour diet....just like me



today we start the chicken coop.....no plans....no drawing......just 2 stoners with power tools

 

Hopefully nobody actually needs plans or drawings in order to build a chicken coop.

 

reminds me of the saying "its the fourth of july lets load up on alcohol and explosives, what could go wrong?"
