After signing a 10-year lease on the historic waterfront at Pier 70, San Francisco-based tech outfit Gusto wanted their seaside digs to feel less stodgy and more like home. So much so that the company allows employees to help paint the walls and—brace yourselves, kicks fans—walk around barefoot.

If someone is uncomfortable going barefoot in the office they have full autonomy to wear socks or slippers. The company also carries socks and disposable slippers for guests who visit.

Dogpatch startup lets employees paint walls, walk around barefoot at new office

Yeah, but big companies are corrupt and enslave people. Money is bad and smelly.

they "allow" employees to paint the walls? shit, they make us paint the walls because the maintenance guys can't keep up with the maintenance.

Thats a lot of pressure to keep your toenails painted and to always wear matching socks though

Sound like my kind of workplace. At my previous job, several of us who worked weekends came to work barefoot,

The floors would have to be super clean though. I don’t know where other people’s feet have been :grimacing:

I'm guessing the floors are pretty clean, because everyone who works or visits there has to take off their shoes! :)

I didn't work for them but I used to get paid by Gusto. They give you like "Snapple Facts" every payday.

  13. They've been in downtown San Francisco, hopefully dodging all the turd being deposited by some of the city's occupants. Thankfully, there's an app for navigating around the humanure.

3 days and 124 views and no one solved the puzzle !!!

A clue was 10 threads below.

Don't go barefoot in San Francisco !! Don't do it.

In San Francisco the streets are covered in poo so the best thing to do is leave your shoes at the door or you will track number 2s into the building.
