I've seen a couple new bumper stickers that are getting popular. One is:

"Support Our Troops, Wherever They May Go!"

I love that one. 'Wherever they may go!' :) What the heck is that supposed to mean? I get this image in my mind of American troops marauding one place after another with a group of cheerleaders following and cheering for them.

    The other bumper sticker is:

The Power Of Pride (with an American flag next to it)

Guess people are finally getting bored with the 911 ribbon as a symbol for military adventurism?

And how did the 911 symbol ever get turned into support for military action? That was supposed to be a symbol to reflect on the deaths of all those lost on 911. Now we have Walmart giving out free ribbon stickers to support the latest invasion and war.

Maybe we should come up with a new ribbon, 'The Casualties of Pride' for the 3000+ a month that are getting killed in Iraq now due to shallow-minded idiotic policies based on pride and fear.

America is sore with just about everyone....terrorist or not.
I never said just deal with terrorists OUTSIDE the country.
Even then, you'd be whining. It'd all be over....you seem to be one for not picking the scab off the wound....why wait 50 years....
I never said you were the only one with the problem, just for the record.

    Nope....

Angry because you're not making money?

I watched a program, just this morning, actually, families of people....workers, firefighters, police, etc....that were killed in the attack....they APPRECIATE the documentaries thus far. Of course, there are some that don't....but not ALL of them hate the idea.
Why care what ANYONE thinks about you? You just need an excuse.

Wrong. People can't don't things about Columbine. THAT is over. Unless you have an ultra-cool time machine.
I'm so sure you talk to the quiet, weird kid that no one likes.
Plenty of people TRY to teach high schoolers about diversity....a lot of good that's done, eh? They're in high school....they're going to do what they want, befriend who they want, and pick on who they want.
Just because we can't prevent every attack, doesn't mean we can't have an impact....

    As you wish....
Stupid and selfish. That's what I think watching a person leap from atop a building.
To keep people aware, I suppose. Of course....who wants to be aware that something ELSE may or may not happen....

I wish we had that police force....

And all I said was that you're whining instead of doing something about it. Boycott....of course, you can't do that in your oh-so-small, conservative town. I guess if everyone bitched on a forum like you, there'd be nothing done about anything that angered someone, right....

    My mission in life. ;)

    Did I stutter?
Grand, kill Fred, spend the rest of your life rotting in prison. Great....
Because those chain reactions happen EVERY time someone dies, right?
But, I suppose if it tickles your fancy....
I don't get the hypocritical bit.
I never said don't do it. But, if you do it to me, I'll sure as hell do it back. THAT is eye for an eye.

    Dear Firefly:

    I understand the frustration.

I am familiar with the story of Ted Kaczinski, he was from Upstate also. was he from your whereabouts ?

How do you feel about the endless going on about the assination of President Kennedy, his brother, Sen Rbt. Kennedy; and The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

How do you feel about the massive collective grief over the loss of our two space shuttles, in 1986 and in 2003?

When you were in High School, did any of your classmates die under tragic circumstances? During my school years we buried one classmate; the kids took up the entire funeral home, every room. everyone was consumed with grief and loss. It is a parallel episode on a smaller, local scale.

The Goverment overdid the Okolahoma City bombings, I remember being searched in a federal courthouse after McViegh did the bomb.

The diference between all of the above episodes and 911 is that the 2001 attack is not an isolated incident. These folks are promising to come at us again and will sacrifice thier lives to do so. These folks ARE diferent from us
    Very diferent.

They willingly send thier women and children to die in suicide attacks against civilians. They keep thier women in bondage. They are intollerant in all ways.
They place a very low value on human life.

Try to understand your family they may be familar with the agenda of our attackers and afraid of future attacks.

Ya know, after watching the 9/11 truth movement grow into a truly enormous and historic movement for real change in this country, I'm truly flabergasted by the complete lack of knowledge about it by the people in this forum (minus happydrivin).

C-SPAN just recently aired the LA 9/11 truth symposium which was attended by over a 1000 people (some people were turned away due to overcrowding). In Chicago there was a similar conference.

There's been such an enormous upsurge of 9/11 truth momentum that even the mainstream media is being forced to talk about it (they're still trying to push it away) but that shows the strength this movement has gotten.

Charlie Sheen, a few months back, came out in support of a new 9/11 investigation.

There have been many polls taken recently that show AT LEAST 1/3 of the U.S. population believes the official conspiracy theory is a lie and a new investigation is needed. Most of the mainstream media refuses to report this finding.

There are so many more examples of the 9/11 truth movement that would take up several pages.

Then I come here. To this thread. And it seems like all of you (except happydrivin) are still living in 2002. I'm sorry to say this, but your ignorance is truly breathtaking!! I can see if there was no 9/11 truth movement (that has now gotten extremely big and growing) but you people act as if your heads are stuck in the ground like ostriches. Wake up and stop getting your "info" from mainstream sources who are complicit in the cover-up of what happened on 9/11.

During the week before September 11th ('06) and Sept. 11th itself, for the 5 year anniversary, people will be converging in New York City, on Ground Zero to commemorate the victim's memories and to help spread the word even further that the attacks of 9/11/01 were an event orchestrated by the Cheney/Rumsfeld administration and rogues within the intelligence community. If you can make it, please come! And tell others. The site for this event is www.ny911truth.org

There's also going to be a 9/11 truth presence in D.C. during the same week. The website for that is www.911citizenscourt.com

I believe something else was going on in the background, or why wasn't that second plane intercepted.

We don't know the truth, maybe we never will, but I don't buy the story out there right now.

The most outrageous story is the OFFICIAL conspiracy theory, according to which the 9/11 attacks were planned and carried out entirely by Arabs with box-cutters out-tricking our trillion dollar military defense system. Think about it. Talk about wacky conspiracy theories.

Also, the 2 best books on the subject you can read were written by David Ray Griffin. They are "The New Pearl Harbor" and "The 9/11 Commission Report: Omissions and Distortions".

how expensive our defense system is is completely irrelevant
there are millions of weaknesses at least 2 for every person included in the system

I should have left out how expensive the system is, I knew somebody would pick at it. You're partially right though, it's irrelevent in a way. But what's important is the anti-missile defense technology which should have shot down the aircraft headed toward the Pentagon. This device was de-activated. But don't hear it from me, I'm a horrible story teller. Read David Ray Griffin's books on 9/11.

One thing that has always bothered me is how fast that crash in Queens after 09/11 was discounted as not being a terrorist thing. I've never heard much more about it. Maybe because most of the travelers on it weren't US citizens, but foreigners visiting the US, that their loss wasn't really relevant.

I would have felt much more secure, if they had fully explained it's crash.

We are being told all time to beware of terrorists, but the Anthrax and the Queen's crash have never been explained, why?

Funny that foreigners and lowly postal workers lost their lives and it was never fully explained. But Bin Laden is at large and the Bush administration wants us to believe that his apprehension is no longer important to them.

Yet Iraq was worth invading and Israel is enfranchised to protect their interests by destroying Lebanon. What should really be important to Americans and some of their appetites for retribution?

I am sure he and his Saudi family are pulling the strings on the GW puppet. It's sad that the majority of the American public have bought into their media blitz. We are learning to fear and hate all Muslims, and know what.... they outnumber us how realistic is that? But it's a tactic to control, and the majority of the US are falling for it.

If the American public ever wakes up and sees that this administration is basically protecting their stock portfolios at the expense of the American taxpayer, it will be a cold day in hell. Too much has been paid to tell them otherwise, and they've bought into it with waving their flags and sending their young people to die.

Ever looked at those production tags on the flags everyone has out on their lawns, they aren't made here. Show me one that was made in the US and I'll stop posting.

The little American citizen wants to unite behind a cause and they have, but was it the right one?
