84 acre commune looking for people!!!

my companion and i would love to join a commune. right now we are in galveston island, tx not doing too much of anything. my companion, josh, is a hillbilly from kentucky and knows how to live off the land. Is this community still around? We are interested in starting a intentional community on our 97 acre farm. We would like to visit other communities first to get some ideas on what works and don't. We are wanting to be self-sustaining, maybe with crafting furniture and selling.

We are building from the ground up, we have a few springs for water. As soon as we are finished building the sawmill, we should be ready to start the work..
