    It was rumoured that the song could of been about James Taylor from when they were married. They were divorced when the song came out.

    In 1971 James Taylor released an album titled 'Mud Slide Slim and the Blue Horizon' on which he covered the Carole King song "You've Got a Friend". On that track Canadian Joni Mitchell sang the background vocals.

    loni mitchell played the isle of wight festival in 1970..the band right before her doing their 2nd set was canandian band ''lighthouse[saw them too,also joni]..skip prokop from lighthouse

    Jimi Hendrix played at the Isle of Wight about 36 hours after Lighthouse. There's a concert DVD of him playing the gig around today. Joni Mitchell played a "controversial" set about halfway inbetween the two performances.
