The story goes; that the old secrets of elemental science that had kept the world in balance were upset by the military might and Imperial power of Rome.
The passive Earth Spirit is represented by 1080 which is the opposite of the power of 666.
Roman had upset the balance and the time had come for the issue to be redressed.

As the age of Pisces arrived the Sun would enter a new epoch and a new monotheistic Sun god would replace the multiple Sun gods of Aries.

The association of 666 with the Pope, the Roman Emperor, or Hitler is to be understood as each represents an imperial authoritarian.

However it has been argued that the original intent of the number 666 did not apply to any one human, instead the phrase translated as " and his number is six hundred threescore and six", in Greek this phrase adds to 2368 which is the number of Jesus Christ.

The word Beast occurs 37 times in Revelation and 666 and 2368 are multiples of 37. Thus it is seen that the Beast and Jesus Christ are identical.
The conflict arises between the Beast and Jesus Christ as there are two Beasts mentioned in the text. The first Beast rises out of the sea and represents water, or the spiritual realm. This would be the spiritual aspect of Jesus Christ.
The second Beast arises from the earth, and represents the body of Jesus Christ.

The battle was between those of the church who held that the new Sun god, Jesus Christ, should be worshiped for his spiritual nature only and those who held that his physical nature was also divine.
