50s (and 60s) kids - yah some of us still exist - like the 80s and 90s

i miss the level of public transportation we had in those days,
and being able to build and live in pretty much anything you felt like,
and not having to be rich or inherit for there to be someplace where you could.

there were other things that were good, but those were the two basic ones for me

 

I remember riding the bus downtown to go to a Saturday matinee kids show with a short serial and two cartoons before the movie. An army of ushers to keep all the kids from having popcorn fights.
