About your comment on the executions of gays in foreign nations: I think this (news) thread is about the massacre in your own country, where gaybashing and -hating is also far from uncommon.

 

There are news clips with the mother reading the texts aloud. He even tells her that the gunman is in the bathroom with them before he is killed.

It's so, so heartbreaking. I cannot imagine getting a text like that from one of my children or grandchildren and being able to talk about it afterward. They'd have to hospitalize me if this happened in my family.

This is so horrible, I cannot even find words for what I'm thinking and feeling...

I have been reading on facebook and it is being said, from a survivor that is now hospitalized, that there were 2 more shooters in that club aside from the one that was killed. However, that isn't being discussed (by the police). It went further on to say perhaps it wasn't being publicized because they didn't want to "scare people". WTH! People need to be scared, or at least alerted.

This witness claimed that one of the exit doors was being held shut by one of the terrorists.

Has anybody else read this?

I'm sure there will be a dozen different conspiracy theories by the end of the week. Right now, I don't even want to think about dealing with those people. We have enough shit to deal with, in the real world.

My daughter-in-law is from Orlando. She went to school with one of the guys who is in the hospital.

 

My daughter-in-law's classmate and his husband both died.
