damn John I didn't know that about you and Salvia.

You have to try that stuff again.

I wonder why so many people get such a broad range of effects from it, and why some people don't feel nothing at all. The first 3 times I did it nothing happened, but I attribute that to me not knowing how to smoke it properly. I wouldn't think that you would make such a novice mistake though, so I'm wondering why nothing happened for you, especially knowing about your sensitivity to drugs.

Well, Id imagine it was because the few times that I tried it, it was just the regular leaf, not any kind of extract or anything, and we were outside with no access to a bong or a pipe, we rolled a joint lol.
I knew from what I heard (didnt read or anything, all of my drug experience came well before I ever had internet access) that you needed a solid pipe at least and that you had to torch it and hold the smoke in for awhile, but what are you gonna do, I blew it and so did my friends who bought the stuff lol

Well I guess I cant say that I would never try it, but it's not something Im considering any time soon.
It's not that the effects are undesirable to me, it's just that I've taken so many true psychedelics in my youth, and even a decent amount of LSD this past summer, and I need time to accept what I've been exposed to and let it settle in comfortably before I jumpt the gun and break it all down into peices again.
Just last night I was sitting on the sofa watching television, and I started thinking about the Sun, and my mind instantly went cosmic and way too much information and connections were jamming me up almost unbearably.
Something so simple as the most basic thing in the universe, the star which gave us life, became new but not in the sense of an astronomer studying how stars work, but in a way that completley defies any explanation.
    Like the Beatles sang
"When I look into your eyes, your love is there for me
And the more I go inside, the more there is to see
It's all too much for me to take
The love that's shining all around you
    Everywhere, it's what you make
For us to take, it's all too much
    "

Yeah John, I can understand that.

Salvia is definatly a sacred substance though, and in my opinion, second only to DMT. I think you would benefit from it greatly. At least in my eyes, it far outdoes any other drug I've tried, even though there are absolutely no visuals, hallucinations, or any other sort of sensory distortion when I smoke it. It is like smoking pure, esoteric realization, and salvia largely gave birth to the beliefs I have today. I've tried other drugs, but salvia was the first time that the veil was truly lifted up, not visually, but mentally, to where there was no confusion whatsoever. It was like I had been immersed in universal consciousness for infinity, without a conscious acknowledgment of it. Rather than exposing the true nature of the world around us, it exposes the true nature of YOU. It's just so profound, I don't even know how to describe it.

Besides, I'm interested to see what sort of experience you have, and what your interpretation of it is. :)

So far, I'm the only one I know who has had the sort of experience I was subjected too, and I'm waiting on another.

Well, it's the same with you and I in regards to alcohol, compared to nearly everyone else :cheers2:
The way you describe salvia though, reminds me of high doses of Ketamine, or even a small dose of Phencyclidine.
Even a strong dose of MDMA has that kind of power, but of course I cant make that call until I try Salvia myself, considering that it stands out in it's own class.

I've never tried Ketamine, and have never even heard of Phencyclidine, so I wouldn't know.

    Do you smoke them?

    ahhhh, ok.

Is Savlia still legal in your state?

If so, John, I'm telling you, go down to a headshop and get you some 20x. That's really all you will need. If you have a wooden pipe, that's my preferred way of smoking this sacred sacrament :) Then we'll see how we are doing :D Come on, you telling me you aren't in the mood to go "out there" after reading all these tripped out books you are getting for christmas? :hat:

But anyways, now it is time for me to go to work, where all my psychedelic ramblings mean nothing before the all-mighty dollar, and my wrinkly shirt and crooked tie are sure to be the night's biggest point of contention. wooo hooo!!! :cheers2:
