My dog is a dog too, but he's so much more when you really understand and watch him and his emotions to our behavior. Like, I'm sure he knows he's a dog and not a person, but you can tell the frustrations he has with trying to cope with that. Trying to cope with being told to get out, and eating different food, understanding why he can't eat my food or why we don't want him on our couch, he has his own. Lol. You can tell he doesn't like it and he will show you that emotion in his face and his voice. He doesn't like it.

When you treat him like a person, like he comes in and you're all nice to him etc. and he's eating what you're eating it's a changed animal. He's one with us and it's all smiles, chest out, I'm the fucken shit he thinks, big pink tongue, looks at me with nothing but adoration in those eyes.

Treat him like a dog, here come the glares, here comes the attitude.
