What does anyone think of this article? http://www.jewsnews.co.il/2014/12/14/37-million-bees-found-dead-in-ontario-canada-after-planting-large-gmo-corn-field/ Bayer for some time has bee blamed for bee colony collapse. I wonder how they knew it was 37 million bees?
I've heard about this, no one really knows what the cause. I must comment on the source of the article "Jewsnews" Talk about a slanted journal, full of inflammitory tabloid shit. Shame on them for stirring up shit to support their agenda.
you can easily find other sources documenting widespread colony collapse. It isn't some Jewish agneda to overthrow pesticide companies lol. its a pretty serious problem. Without bees the world is pretty fucked.
I agree.. when asked what do I think of the article I have to say as well that the first thing I thought was the source of it has a dubious name for a news site. About bees dying... that is old news and so bad I am seriously considering getting into parttime beekeeping
me too! I've been looking into it for a while now, just gotta get all the needed materials and actually do it.
I'm trying to get with someone who knows how it works first! I don't like figuring it out by myself, especially when they all could suffer (or worse) when i make a beginners mistake... but that is just because I know myself
I know some local hippie bee keepers. They sell the honey, beeswax candles and other bee products at the local farmers market. In the off season, dude travels around as a consultant to other west coast bee keepers. They are really cool folks and the honey they collect is wonderful!
nah, I dont need to look to know jewnews is biased lol. And I did eventually look at the article about the bees and it sounds a bit exaggerated. But I hate to see attention drawn away from the plight of the bees just because a bad source wrote an article about it.
I dont know if its a decline in bees or a decline of bee keepers.. many years ago the old man he had a bee hive and we abandoned it. I knew a few other hive owners and they left the bee business too/ mk people get old and die also, but Ive havent known anyone that keeps bees like I did some 20yrs ago. so to me nut sized brain it seems the bees have no homes, and not enough people to care for them. as well other idiots that pull out the can of Raid when they see bees anywhere near them..
No, the problem is that whole colonies of bees just die (even when there are proper beekeepers around).
