Today is our 30th wedding anniversary, how long have you been married for ? It was a very hot day (about 25 degrees) when we got married. What do you remember most about your wedding day - anything funny / unusual happen on your wedding day ?
14 years, 1 month and 24 days but who's counting. Our day was amazing. Beautiful weather, 200 guests and I married the love of my life. A bunch of guys shaved their heads in the parking lot and most of our groomsmen stripped down and were only wearing their pants and vests. Not sure why or how that happened.
Congratulations! 11 years here. There was nothing unusual that happened. It all went pretty much as planned but what does stick out in my head is that we both wrote our own vows/speeches and didn't tell each other what we were going to say. My wife wrote some of the kindest and most beautiful words I've ever heard said about me and totally kicked my butt all over the place in that department. I was really humbled and honored by her words that day.
Congratulations. Never been married here. Had a helluva good time, however. Both my long term relationships have been with other women, and naturally being Australia, marriage could not be considered ............
Congratulations, NZ! I've been with my husband for almost 20 years. I still love him very much, I think I even love him more now than when we got married. Like you and your wife, we have a sex incompatibility thing, but he's working on it, now, finally. Sloooooooowwwwwwwly, but still. I wish you and your wife a peaceful life together.
34½ years for my wife and I (and 2 years of engagement before that.) First (and only) marriage for both of us.
That is so awesome! I love hearing about people who have been together for so long. I wish you much health and happiness in your future with your wife. It's a beautiful thing love is isn't it.
30 yeasrs! Congratulations. I hope to get to that kind of milestone in my marriage. We have been married for five years. It isn't always easy, but it is usually fun. The thing I remember most was that the wedding was much nicer than we expected. We eloped and married with the clerk in our little town. We dressed neatly, held our sweaty hands together, and then she spoke the most beautiful words about trust and unity. We both cried a little, and she was touched. After, we went to IHOP for pumpkin pancakes. They've changed the recipe since then. That day they really tasted like pumpkin and spices. It took us a few days to consummate. My husband is riddled with sexual phobias, and back then, h was much worse than now. A year and change later, we moved a couple thousand miles, gave up on the original plan of having a wedding with our family and finally went on our honeymoon. Disney World! It was awesome. Sometimes I'm not sure we're going to make it. We have problems I didn't understand when we got hitched. But I imagine a 30 year marriage is just waking up every day, and choosing each other again. And that's what we do.
