I don't have any idea what you mean by using the word "claustrophobia" with regard to the feelings produced by empty cities. That seems to me it would be the opposite of claustrophobia. I still haven't seen the original Daw of the Dead, although it's on my list. I don't think it's fair to claim that any movie depicting cities empties and ravaged by plague is somehow derivative of Dawn of the Dead. There's a nice version of that in "Vanilla Sky," by the way, when Tom Cruise drives and then runs through an empty New York City. It's worth mentioning that in 28 Days Later, the "infected" are NOT ZOMBIES. They are non-dead/non-undead humans infected with the "rage virus." They have NOT died and come back to life the way they have in the various "Living Dead" movies. Different animal. -Jeffrey
