Here is a comment it posted up. 1. Margarine is not food. 2. Breakfast cereals . Other than porridge oats, when you buy breakfast cereals you are payng for air. Although not completely void of nutrients, like margarine is, you get very little for your money. 3. Tinned pulses (lentils, red kidney beans ). These might be fine for camping but are quite expensive compared to the dried equivalents. They don't take that long to cook if soaked overnight. 4. Bagged firewood. Enough said. 5. Life insurance. More accurately called death insurance. There may be cases where it is desirable but in my experience most people who have life insurance don't need it. In Australia compulsory industry superannuation has default life insurance that I consider to be sale by stealth. Like any other form insurance, it is a form of gambling. For someone to get a payout, other people have to lose. There are other ways to look after your money such as paying off your mortgage quicker or adding to your superannuation. 6. Funeral insurance. For a well off person in retirement, why bother? For someone of limited means paying for funeral insurance reduces their enjoyment of the remaining time they have left in this world.
I’m from the Seattle area and sometimes Starbucks is by far the best coffee available. We were in Ottawa this spring and the coffee except Starbucks was the result of an event that happened long ago. Six coffee beans came into the city, were threatened to be put in boiling water and started sweating. All the coffee in Ottawa today is derived from those six sweaty coffee beans.
My phone cost £30 in 2007 and still works perfectly, despite more than 3000 hours of chatting. I pay £9 per month for service. Our cable system costs more, £30, but this is largely due to needing static IP for our email server.
Did I just see someone say Starbucks is the best coffee available? Sure if you like 1 teaspoon of coffee mixed into 1/2 litre of dishwater
I do find it hard to believe Starbucks is the best coffee available in Seattle. I live in a small city, you could probably fit like 10 of my city into Seattle, and we have several options that are waayy better than Starbucks. Although, back on topic, they are often overpriced
