I had the day off today and went to the oncologist to discuss the CT scan I got the other week, along with other tests that were done (blood, urine, etc.) In the end... Everything checks out, I have now officially been cancer free for 21 months! Now granted you are supposed to get check ups every 6 months but I kind of slacked (ie. scared shitless) so I was 15 months delayed in my first check up. But I finally got the tests a few weeks ago, went back after all the tests were looked at and the news is -- CANCER FREE! wooh wooh. It is a work night so I will just have a shot of whiskey in celebration and that is it (instead of a full on celebration) - But anyone anywhere else want to raise a glass from a distance with me - more than welcome, aha! Just thought I would share this bit of good news for anyone who cares to read. (I had Hodgkins lymphoma stage 2 bx)
I am glad to hear that, man. I know I was beyond shocked when I first heard you had cancer, but you have pulled through.
Congrats on the progress. Cancer is one of the more curable diseases compared with others. Established medicine has made good progress in the treatment of inoperable fluid related cancers such as leukemia and lymphoma which were once incurable.
Kick ass, Glad your back to 100%. Ive had too many friends fall victim to that in the last few years. Glad you had what it took to beat it. I don't drink, But cheers just the same :2thumbsup: congrats
Good to hear. Sometimes it's good to be scared. Just to get that feeling afterwards that everything's gonna be OK.
Good news! My cousin had the same kind of cancer as you and has been healthy for 9 years. I have forgotten how many years it is between being in remission and being cured? I wish you the best of health for the future.
