I prefer one on one. I have a history of playing that way.

P.S. you make a good side kick dave (yes sidekick) and props to OldTroll for having two trolling convos at once in the same thread.

 

I've done one on one, and, it has it's perks, but, honestly, if you've got someone with a really twisted, broken mind than there is nothing one on one can do, but give them more confidence in their broken ideas

I have BEEN the person with broken ideas, arguing their validity, I have been the person arguing reason to madmen, and, on either side, especially where there is nothing to be lost, and all that is to be gained is "winning" most zealots will just dig in their heels and repeat their point again and again.

I mean, seriously, I could probably show this old troll mayan inscriptions reading dates after december 2012, and he'd say they were fake or whatever, no matter what evidence exists, because he has an almost religious conviction in his beliefs.

so, it's really just better to have them torched, and either purged from, or assimilated into the horde.

 

The actualy date occuring in 2012 is more or less insignificant to me, I wasnt a Mayan and I dont know how this date became significant in any mentally tangible manner, outside of basic human nature and our biological programming.
I will say, however, that anyone who doesnt have awareness absorbed into the modes of material nature, and realize that the rediscovery in the west with psychedelic chemicals, the increasingly rapid rate of technological advancement which replicated isolated forms of the revelations induced by psychedelics (internet, synthesized music vibration, nonsensical/absurdist philosophy, particle physics and the breakthrough of the Big Bang reality, the eternal nature of school grade simple mathematical forumals, etc) is both truly blind to the multi dimensional fractions of layered realities, and missing out on a massive, cosmically large portion of life and the wonderful blessing that is the mind in all it's complexity.
If you dont see that we have always been, and are right now, being attracted rapidly towards some kind of magnetic force which will magnify our evolution on a scale that is immeasureable, unimaginable, and fanstastically frightening, then you should really consider sitting in meditation for just an hour out of your bust life schedule and take a deep fucking look into your mind. We are riding a wave that is about to come to a crashing end, but what must be realized is that we are life, and life is us, and this is inseperable. The 'end' of the world is truly a breath of a new way to experience life. 2012 or not, we are most definitley headed in that direction, and our biological programming runs so deep to a core that has yet to be found that we still exist in this dimension, believing that we have such things as free will, and discovery, and creative inventions. When in all reality, these things are scripted into our natural manifestation, the same way your eye colour, hair growth, height, spinal alignment, and blood flow are programmed. This is not conditioning lol, this is fucking divine. The question is, do you have the balls to confront the fountain of contradictions, hypocrisy, dualism and intense fear of death and, then repeat this experience of transcendental knowledge of the Self over and over again until your really have an understanding of how scary it's going to be when your time comes to die and seperate from everything you ever clinged to.

I don't believe I accused Dave the techie of preaching ... if he or you want to preach, that's fine with me.

I do not think that they are naive for taking a path that isn't my choice ... but there is a certain naiveté in taking things as valuable as your mortal soul on faith, but requiring proof for simple things like current flow in an electronic circuit.

I was a bit rude and also a bit arrogant with that post (I am drinking right now, of course haha) but sometimes people just have to be forced to get that tiny little pain in the ass of a brain to open up just a wee bit more than it normally is.
Surely I am not at all capable of opening anyones mind, but I cant help but be both disappointed and insanely blissful when I look at the state of our species.

I didnt say you accused Dave of preaching, you accused me of it, you assume i do because im Christian, how naive.

Which brings me onto my final point, you treat me as if i am niave, that i wouldnt know the connection between the three Abrahamic faiths based on what seems soley that i am a Christian.

I'm not sure what you're talking about when it comes to the "mortal soul" or electric circuts but i guess you're just making assumptions about my beliefs?

 

I dont want to speak for Troll, but when you label yourself a Christian, this kind of thing is naturally to be expected. I get it all the time when I tell people that I am a muslim. And then gobble down hanfulls of magic mushrooms and laugh at self reproducing germlike forms of Sponebob growing all over my bathroom walls at 3 in the morning.

No, actually i was polite enough to respect the customs of my Grandmothers church when i chose to go along with her.

I don't believe in church, i dont see the point outside of the community having a forum in which they gather.

 

My christian overlords forced me to say it as a child. Then as I matured, I was able to feel the most powerful and beautiful sense of empathy towards them.
I would never hold a grudge against those who forced me to be a certain way and make for a miserable spiritual side of childhood, devouring all of the magic so that I couldnt touch it. Because they are just people who have no idea what is going on, but they do what they think is right, and no matter what my life was like, Im very appreciative that it was what it was.

 

Religion has always been something that i have had the freedom to dabble in when i want and withdraw from when i want. I was brought up with the Occult, a Christian grandmother, exposure to Hinduism and Budhism. I was even lucky enough to see the Dalai Lama speak when i was a child.

I have always felt that my experiance of religion has been very different from most and the reason why i enjoy it while it makes others cringe.

How did you become to be a Muslim if you don't mind me asking?
