OK, but I have absolutely no problem with anyone's sexuality be it consenting and I was never suggesting anything like it. As a straight fella I wasn't going to be switched on to what they were discussing, as I said I do feel because of how loud they were they wanted to be heard. If they had been a bunch of girls (woman) all of our curiosity would have been grabbed but I doubt anyone of us would have been eager to get to know them and I'm sure the same reaction would have be just as cold. I posted this because it has been so emotive that over four pages have been dedicated to it in one afternoon, simply because it has an equal opps element. I wasn't backtracking by being devil's advocate, what the hell am I doing on a hippy site if I air view of a nasty super conservative nature, I'd be offend at every turn if I were.

Basically, it doesn't matter whether you're Gay, Straight, Bi or whatever... we are all capable of talking dirty in inappropriate places. I'm sure most of us have all done it at one time or another, usually when copious amounts of alcohol has been consumed.

i was once at a fine restaraunt in santa monica. there was an elderly couple across from my party, celbrating their anniversary. unfortunately, there was a huge bachelorette party in the middle of the dining area. they were being obnoxiously loud about penises, sex, their language was horrible, blah blah blah. not something that would bother me, except that it was severely misplaced. they kept getting louder and louder, ruining everyone else's time, until the old man across from us started throwing bread at them, while his wife giggled her ass off. we all applauded when they got upset and got the hell out.

The original post is homophobic in that it presents the antagonists as Gay rather than as Lewd.

If disgust was shown at their behaviour without reference to their sexuality then it would not be homophobic. Thier sexuality might be added as an aside but I would imagine not.

    LOL *wipes tears*.

The lesbian women I used to hang out with were some of the loudest and crudest people I've ever known. And he makes no distinction about the women as if they are all straight. Is this to say being loud and lewd is a gay thing? I can tell you as a staight woman, assuredly not!

Seems to me that if you were being loud and boisterous, then it doesn't really make sense to get mad that some other group was also loud and boisterous.

Why do you feel that it should be up to you to approve their topic of conversation?

Here is my funny, lewd and loud, cute, gay guy story:

Not too long ago, Sig other and I attended the Argosy Cruise “Breakfast with the Beatles” broadcast (it’s a Sunday radio show). It was a nice, brunch cruise around Puget Sound. We opened (and closed) the bar. While cruising we saw this park along the shore, decided to check it out and went there after. It was nice with a paved path down to a railing overlooking the Sound. We were sitting on a bench back up against the hill the ramp came down looking at the view and toking. Being us. Anyway, these 4 young guys, verrrry cute, wearing short shorts, came roller-blading down the path, hitting the railing one at a time and either looking at the view or turning to watch their pals roller blade on down. When the last guy came down, as he was about to hit the rail, he YELLED at his buddies “My butt hole hurts!”. Then he hit the rail, spun around and saw us. The look on his face…………………… hahhahahahaha~! I can tell you that he wasn’t mortified about us knowing he was gay (they weren’t being unobvious about it), he was embarrassed that he was loud and lewd in front of a couple he didn’t know, instead of only in front of his friends like he thought. An absolute priceless expression on his face! We were trying not to burst out laughing, but his buddies weren’t so constrained. Then they started buzzing among themselves. One finally turned to us and asked if us “peace loving” people would take their picture (we forgot that on the cruise that they gave out these big, plastic, hokey peace sign necklaces to wear and we were still wearing ours, being drunken, stoned fools). I said sure and then they said would I take a picture of them naked. I said SURE! They laughed about me wanting to see them naked. They were flirting with me, bless their hearts! [IMG]

i was with my ex at the huntington beach pier, and there was a bikini beach volleyball game going on just below us in the sand. there was this one woman whose face was particularly unattractive, but her BODY was unbelievable. meanwhile, the beach patrol were constantly making innocuous announcements along the pier, irritating little security things. so after watching this woman play, and listening to the patrol announcements, i make the joke to my ex, in the announcer voice "you, in the orange bikini, put a bag over your head and report to the lifegaurd station."

the man standing next to us turns to me and says "that's my wife."

we left. i practically had to carry my ex.

A few years ago, I was leaving a gay club with some male friends and there where a couple of straight guys on the corner watching us come out and one of them was making silly but harmless comments, as we walked past them the one making comments asked us for a smoke and I turned round and said 'sorry we don't smoke'
he said 'yeah but you suck cocks'
to which I put on my most dazzling smile flicked my hair back and said 'well of course I do'
he went bright red and his friend told him he desevered it

I don't think this is what the thread has been about. Did you read it all? It about making sweeping judgemental (homophobic really) statements.

Oh, and now it has evolved into stories of feet in mouths.[IMG]
